Dear Hotel Management, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your establishment and unfortunately, my experience was not up to the expected standards. I feel it is important to share my concerns with you so that improvements can be made. Upon check-in, I encountered significant delays due to challenges faced by the staff. The individual assisting me appeared to be disoriented and it took approximately 10 minutes to obtain my room key. I had reserved what was described as a suite; however, it lacked the expected separate sitting area, offering only a cramped space with a couch placed in the sleeping area. The room's lighting was inadequate, particularly in the sleeping area where a light was missing. The pillows provided were notably small, resembling throw pillows. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the bathroom was subpar, with dried urine on the toilet, and the shower not draining properly. Being located near I26 resulted in constant and unbearable traffic noise throughout the night, significantly impacting the quality of my stay. To add to the overall dissatisfaction, I learned that a hold was placed on my credit card, and I was informed it would take 3 to 5 days for it to be released. I understand that each hotel may encounter challenges, and I believe sharing this feedback will contribute to the ongoing improvement of your services. Rooms were nice and didn't hear much noise from the hall even with being on the first floor. We had a comfortable stay, but wish breakfast was a little more vibrant. All bananas were borderline black/full of spots and the meat/eggs were overly salted. More fresh fruit of good quality would definitely help.

Positive: Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Hotel employee was at the front desk when we arrived and was managing the breakfast area the next morning. We needed some extra assistance, and he was just wonderful. The room was a good size, clean, and well app Negative: The hotel wasn't up to Marriott standards. They had no shower caps and had run out of oatmeal on the breakfast bar. The TV was on the wall beside the bed (rather than at the foot) - very inconvenient. The vanity was quite small.

I’ll give this hotel a solid 4! I’m deducting a star because the noise off the highway is horrible. If you’re a light sleeper this is NOT the hotel for you. They do offer these “white noise” machines in the room and they do help drown out the road noise so hey, at least they are trying! The hotel was clean, as was my room, which is always my biggest pet peeve and what I look for when booking reservations. They definitely need to change out (or deep clean) the carpet in the elevators because they are disgusting. The entire staff was superior to most hotels we stay at. I had a pleasant experience with each one and that definitely makes for a customer wanting to return! I didn’t try out breakfast but it did smell good. Maybe next time. We own a small business and will be in Columbia for a few months over the next two years…this is definitely going to be my hotel of choice while working in the area.

So this is my second time staying at a TownePlace Suite. Both stays were very nice. The rooms are well kept and very clean. My one issue is the shower/bathtub. It doesn't matter which you are taking, a shower or bath, the drain does not stay open to let the water out. You end up in a pool of water and you have to hold the drain to let all the water out when you are done. As my sister had the same issue when we stayed at the same place, and this second visit in a different state is the same, I have to think this is a design flaw in the bathtubs they chose and not user error. And it's gross. Overall, nice place, bad design flaw.

Positive: This hotel was extremely clean and to me, that is always the most important thing..... no hair, mold nor evidence of prior guests. It is just the worst for there to be hair in the the bathroom (anywhere) or toothpaste splatters on the mirror or faucet. Negative: This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. I was very impressed.

Positive: Very efficiently laid out. Loved the kitchenette. Negative: We had to switch rooms because the toilet would not flush. Hotel staff was very accommodating though.

The staff is very nice and very helpful, room service is great and the location is good with food and grocery stores for your convenience, but the bed was a major problem since I was getting bites and marks all over my body the next morning. Maybe bed bugs, who knows but this would be the last time I stay in this hotel. The pillows underneath the covers were stained with unknown substances and the sheets had faint red dots all over. Definitely not my go to.
