TownePlace Suites Boise West/Meridian - Hotel in Meridian - 1415 S Eagle Rd, USA

Positive: Extremely friendly and helpful staff and management. Well appointed rooms that are clean and spacious. Nice breakfast to start the day right. Negative: The pool was closed but it will reopen soon after a remodel. Would have loved a swim but a good reason to stay again when it reopens.

Guests should beware!!!||I recently stayed at the TownPlace Suites Marriott Meridian in Boise with my two adult children and another adult. One week after arriving home I realized the hotel had charged my credit card an additional $250.  When I enquired with the hotel they stated there had been drugs left in the room and they had to call police. I was shocked. This allegation is completely untrue. When I called the hotel, the manager could not give me any details about where the substance was found in the room and by who, or how much. Seems suspicious that she was unaware of those details that were apparently important enough to keep a deposit and to call the police.  I then called the customer service at 1-800-535-4028 and spoke to a representative , receiving a file number and assurance that within 5-7 days the hotel manager would reach out to me with a resolution. The manager , Lindsay G, emailed me a week later with a copy of the police report and no further conversation on why she charged me, or further information. The police report stated no additional detail about the substance being found other than it was found around 1pm (we checked out before 8am).||||As a loyal customer of Marriott I am appalled that I have been treated this way. This hotel stop was one on a long road trip from Las Vegas back to Vancouver Canada. We checked in late and left early. These drugs may have been left by a previous guest and the room not cleaned properly. These drugs may have been brought into the room after we checked out before 8am, and before it was cleaned at noon. All I can say is our group of four women did not bring drugs in the room. The fee they are charging me is a “Smoke Free Environment” charge, which the hotels own terms state it will be charged if there is evidence of smoking to “cover the extensive cost of resolving guest rooms to a smoke-free condition”. I could not get an answer from the manager as to what evidence of smoking in the room there was (smell, actual smoke) to cause damage of $250. This situation to me smells like a scam!||||The lack of communication from both the TownPlace Suites Marriott Meridian in Boise, and Marriott head office is unacceptable. There is no proof the drugs were ours, and no one contacted us when the drugs were discovered. The only way I discovered all this was through the charge on my credit card. I have no idea what the $250 was used for, but I would like an immediate reimbursement to my credit card. ||||With all the hotel choices you have I would consider another chain. Beware!

The suite was perfect for our family of 5! The pool was clean and warm and the breakfast was well stocked but also simple and easy. We will stay in TownPlace many more times to come!

It was decent, not $270 after taxes though, more of $150 type stay. Basic hotel with a little kitchenette. The external doors and pool door had key issues. People Congregating at doors and on sidewalks for hours on end without any apparent intervention moving them to an appropriate area or asking them to leave (whichever applies). The room was clean. Breakfast was limited.

Great hotel off I-84 that is an easy on/off the freeway. Clean, quiet. Nice staff. Room was great with a small kitchen for our needs (infant traveling to see Great Grandma). Plan to make this our new spot for visiting! Thanks for a great stay!

Checking in, asked for ground floor room. Then another person came in, served by another clerk. My clerk was slow, other clerk was faster and gave the last ground floor room to the person that came after me. Pool was out of order. Couldn't get the Wi-Fi to connect without going down to the lobby. Breakfast was just soso, and no waffles. We're quite dissatisfied. It was not like our usual Marriott experience.

Great stay, was happy to be out of the Hyatt and into a hotel with good service. Check in with super fast and he was so polite and funny. Quickly upgraded me to a two bedroom room suite and made us feel welcome. Comfortable quiet rooms didn’t hear the freeway at all.

Max for this older property is four stars, which I would give because of clean comfortable beds at a good price, except for: 1. WIFI took an hour to set up because of some tech support problems that are impacting nearly all guests 2. Ancient workout equipment that felt like it was going to fall apart 3. The breakfast was not as good as other townplace suites The decor was an awful orange that didn’t help the vibe of the place, and the shower curtain instead of glass feels really cheap, but they could get four stars if they fix the things above. Also the pool and hot tub are still closed. Probably won’t be back to see it when it opens..
