Overall the place is amazing. Maintenance is prompt. Lots of fun events. Pet friendly and nice facilities (even if I don't use them as much as I would like). My biggest complaint is that the apartment numbers are not lit up at night so any time we have anything delivered it takes twice as long and we usually have to have a long phone conversation with the driver to explain how to get to the correct apartment.

I have nothing but good things to say about this apartment complex and the wonderful team of staff that run it. Whenever I have had concerns with maintenance or questions for staff they respond very promptly and are always so helpful and kind. The fitness and pool area are well maintained. Renovations could be made on the inside of the apartments as some of the closet/ pantry doors/ cabinets are cheaply made and break easily. However, I expect this from rental properties. the management and upkeep of the apartments and complex is better than any other I have lived in. They do a great job of advertising events and making it feel like home.

Honestly thought they were doing slightly better for a bit. But this summer has been terrible. Absolutely filthy, dog poop everywhere, grass clippings are left to rot on the sidewalks, large stones and rocks in the parking lot, corridor entry ways have NEVER been cleaned, urine soaked rugs in the corridor and massive spider infestation around the building, the dog park is so gross and is just a breeding ground for bacteria and disease and people feel like they can leave dog poop everywhere, the fitness center is sad and filthy. The garbage and recycling area is always TRASHED with glass, rotten food, stray filled garbage bags just tossed out people's car as they drive through. There's more, but I'm so happy to be moving out of here. It's absolutely not worth their new rate of over $1,600 for a 2-bedroom that was filthy when I moved in... I hate writing poor reviews except when it's necessary. You should have seen the line-up of dog poop this winter that was deposited neatly as though they were lights that led up to the corridor entry ways... The people writing positive reviews must be in acceptance of this. How embarrassing and what a shame.

Pros: - There’s a pool & exercise area - The maintenance team is 9/10 fabulous for small issues, very quick to respond and almost every time they’ve resolved the situation. - Beautiful flowers in the summer. I LOVE the lavender by the pool. - I love the smart home setup. I’m super good at locking myself out, but that’s never an issue with the door code system! Smart thermostat is also very nice. Cons: - Maintenance seems take much longer to resolve bigger issues. Our window stopped working and when they came to fix it, their solution ended up breaking the other window. The request was marked as complete and 3 months later I’m reaching out for a status update as neither of our windows will stay open without slamming shut. - As with all apartments, it’s really easy to hear other people. I’ve actually been woken up routinely by our neighbor snoring. - Dog poop: absolutely horrible this winter. Slightly better in the summer, but still bad. If you don’t own a pet, I wouldn’t recommend living here. They do their best, but some people don’t want to clean up after their animals and I’d imagine it’s very difficult for Towne Lakes to make them. - No room for lease negotiations. Started at $1,359 for the Jonathan 2 bedroom in December of 2022. They want $1,765 for a monthly rate ($1,448 12 month lease). Kind and gracious staff, but I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere long term that doesn’t even allow a conversation about rates. Overall it’s been a good year, but I’m excited to be moving out and hopefully finding a better long term fit. UPDATE: Easy move out experience, no unforeseen charges. They never did fix that broken window.

I've had a good experience living here for over 4 years. It's a beautiful place to live with the pool, ponds, and nice walking areas. I also like that it's near a fire department and police station. I do think they could step up their security on the building doors because I have had issues of solicitors knocking on my door or just complete strangers. But for the most part, I have felt safe here. Maintenance is a hit and miss. They are quick to respond to a request but don't necessarily fix the problem the first time. But they are very generous and I've had appliances completely replaced if they can't fix the issue. I think I'm fortunate to live in a building with decent neighbors and minimal issues with said neighbors. Rent goes up every year. I've heard mixed reviews about the process of moving out and getting hit with charges, but I'm hopeful that I'll have an experience that's in line with all of the other service I've received here, which has been good.

My experience, since actually moving in this past July 27th., has been absolutely great! Mostly the apartment itself being on the first floor, to watching the sun rise over the water. Very peaceful. Love the workout area and the pool. Very clean. I'm comfortable here!

Maintenance requests are always taken care of the day they are submitted, as long as it’s not a weekend. The staff is respectful, efficient and knowledgeable.

My honest take on nearly two years at Towne Lakes. If detail and specifics are your jam, then this is the review for you. To summarize: Pros: Build quality Location Staff Maintenance Grounds Neighbors Neutral: Value Zero privacy balcony Somewhat bland layout of apartments The “Lakes” Cons: Expensive garages Expensive pet fees Parking Internet Some relevant info... One bedroom, top floor, in the newer construction area. My apartment is on the north side of the complex, which I think is fortunate because it's as far away from the highway noise as possible. Also, I may have been the first person in this particular unit and if I wasn't it felt like I was. Foremost, the cost of renting here, and a little luck, seems to have kept the neighbors relatively mature. In two years I’ve had no issues in that area. There is the occasional loud car, but in my experience that’s as bad as it’s gotten. Obviously I may also be benefiting from being on the top floor but the walls don't seem too thin. Location is the one asset keeping me from going somewhere that includes a garage for the price. Towne Lakes managed to snag the best corner of land for an apartment complex... right on a trail, just on the skirts of town but within 5 minutes of everything, in a great neighborhood. Check, check, and check. The construction quality inside the building is great. Everything feels solid and worth the money. I've never run out of hot water, and all the appliances are quality. The grounds are well maintained and the entire staff is wonderful. Now for the dark side... Parking is a problem. One up-front spot per apartment, and if you want a garage, it's 75 bucks EXTRA per month. That is way too much and I think most of my neighbors agree. With so many complexes in the area providing one with your apartment, this needs to change... or pave more parking in the areas that need it. Internet. It's terrible. You get one choice, AT&T, which AT&T knows and exploits. You won't get the good looking deal they offer the broader market. I pay for the fastest speed and struggle to stream more than one thing, a consequence of the dense population and all the different wifi networks. If you're gonna be living with someone it may be a problem. A few gripes, not deal-breakers but noteworthy. All of the little fees they've added, like if you want a garden plot or a pet, along with the garages, and having taken away the free antenna TV feels like extortion. If you like birds, mainly geese, you'll like it here. If you don't like geese, you may have a hard time come October. The ponds are nice but they could have made that huge amount of land a mix water/courtyard which, in my opinion, would have been so much nicer. Almost every balcony is completely open, no privacy, and we're not aloud to put up barriers. In summation, I like the place. It's a solid 4.4 stars overall. Major props for location, beauty, and construction. Minor issues with parking, major issues with the internet. Let us pick from more than AT&T, or tell them to speed it up. Towne Lakes may be helped and much as it's hurt by the huge company that owns it. It's been a good two years, might make it three. Haven't decided yet.
