This is a self guided tour, you can either walk through Spectre and around the island or if you choose to stay in your vehicle, the road encircles the island so you can view most of the sites fairly well from inside your vehicle. If you enjoyed the movie Big Fish, it's definitely worth a visit, you get to literally walk through the town! Part of the forest prop is still there as well, making for an excellent photo opportunity😁 The island is beautiful and it is home to quite a few friendly goats, so even if you haven't seen the movie it's still worth a visit! You can visit for the day or there are campsites available if you would like to stay overnight.

What an amazing film set captured in time and space! Loved the movie, and I appreciate that they keep this Movie Set, clean and available for educational purposes, and pure fun and enjoyment.

Neato!! So cool to visit this film set from Big Fish! I love the line full of dangling shoes when you walk through the trees into the town! It’s on an island and the remoteness of the location, surrounded by water, truly gives this place a otherworldly feeling. I imagine the location scout that discovered the island was jumping for joy. The old buildings have a lot of character as the paint peels and there are some cool photo opportunities. And the goats!! We witnessed a whole goat parade and it was the highlight of my week! I wish we’d brought some alfalfa pellets to feed them. Perfect road trip stop on our journey across the Southeast. It costs $5 per person to visit the island. Bring cash!

LOVED this place! Could spend all day here and not get bored. Even think we spotted Ewan Macgregor's shoes from the movie. Loved the goats. With a little patience while feigning disinterest, I was soon swamped with goats of all ages and got to love on some of the little babies. Very much fun, clean and well kept grounds, friendly and helpful caretakers. Best day of our vacation. HIGHLY recommend!!!

This is a unique and relaxing place to visit, especially for outdoors-loving families with children. We took a weekend camping trip in a group of several families with children age 3-8 years old. We had a wonderful time relaxing on the island amidst beautiful scenery and friendly goats. We enjoyed exploring the island and movie set, and the kids enjoyed the playground. The goats were delightful. Several were very friendly and climbed into our laps, and most were inquisitive and would approach for treats and petting. You shouldn't come here if you don't like goats--it is their island and you are their guest. The herd made rounds of the road around the campground and visited all the camp sites. We loved it, but those with unsecured food items should expect goats to sample them. Campers should bring plenty of drinking water for their stay. There is a small but tidy bathroom facility with a shower stall, but all campsites are primitive.

Seen the movie several times. Beautiful place to walk around, just not today. Had to stand under the porch on one of the movie sets until the rain slacked up enough to run the 100 yards to the truck.

I wish I would have known about this sooner. Absolutely gorgeous. The abandoned film set would have been cool all on its own. There were goats everywhere as well. New little babies. Ran around and played with them for a couple of hours. Probably going back to camp next time. Five bucks for the day is a steal. I had so much fun.

Fun side attraction. The goats were adorable and park was well kept. This was a great pit stop and an easy place to either spend 20 minutes or an hour walking the area.

The atmosphere is hard to grade since it's drive-thru service only, but the location is great. If lines get long, the staff will come out & take orders, so by the time you get to the window, your drink/food is ready.
