Town motel - Motel in Oshkosh - 215 Division St, USA

Stayed here in May 2024. This place might look like a dump from the street, but I was very satisfied with my night here. The room was very small, but clean - no bed bugs. Came with a mini fridge and microwave (didn't use the latter). The long term residents were friendly during the day and quiet on a late Friday night. Best part is the location. It is walking distance to the downtown area and made for a very enjoyable weekend to leave my car there and explore the area. If you aren't picky and just want a clean place to rest your head and easy access to the business district, stay at the Town Motel.

Very nice people, rooms are very nice and have a lot of space.

Rules were not clarified to me about visitors. I had my brother come to visit me and I got kicked out. I also had to wait over 10 days to get a refund. However, he did only charge me for 1 day and it was an expensive day. Apparently I wasn't allowed any visitors. I didn't realize I signed that. Just make sure you read carefully.

When this is the last place available in Oshkosh for the annual EAA, you take it.

Very very shabby looking place - almost grimy. There was a decent shower - at least I hope so (they didn’t install the mechanism to get the water to the showerhead and I wasn’t gonna take a bath). The bed was comfortable, but my room was almost falling apart (it needed some work done - I think there may have been two beds at one point because the headboard was there). My card was also charged three times and had to fight to get a refund.

The weekend of October 26th, I was in Oshkosh for a family wedding. I rented 2 nights at the Town Motel. HUGE MISTAKE: Previously I had called to order a handicapped room. When I registered, I was put in Room 43. NONE of their rooms are handicapped. The heat didn’t work so I was transferred to room 45. When I went to put the light on, it’s on the wall, behind the open door. The door needs shaving since it gets stuck on rug when opening or closing. The door was slightly heavy. The lamp by the bed, there was nowhere to turn it on or off. My walker would not fit through the bathroom door. There were no bars in the shower. I couldn’t even shower before going to the wedding!! By the sink and mirror area, I couldn’t turn on the light since the pull string was too short. When I brushed my teeth, there wasn’t even a cup in there! The driveway was coming apart. Pieces of cement were broken up. I had to be even more careful than usual so as not to fall (very unsafe). In the morning, I couldn’t even get a glass of ice! Needless to say, I made other arrangements for Saturday night. I saw no inspection sign anywhere in the room!!! I think their no refund policy is stupid but I don't care that I didn't get a refund. At least I didn't have to stay there Saturday night. rating should be no stars

Towels, washcloths and such are not provided and you have to pay for the WiFi $5 a day or $10 for a week!! If you plan on a long stay you're better off renting for a whole month. A month costs $750, a week is half of that and a night is $45. Also, you're responsible to wash your own sheets if you want clean ones. Oh, yeah, You might be able to get a roll of toilet paper out of the manger every couple days, but count on buying your own. But on the other hand it's mostly quite and the other guests keep to themselves. Also, there's a guest that is kind of a manger and she's super nice and cool.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!! The Room stunk, Dirty, the carpet was pulled up in the room, Very Scary part of town. I was booked for two days and immediately found another place and went to cancel, was told Non-Refundable. I asked to pay for the first night (even though not staying) and get refund for 2nd night, and was told Non-Refundable. I'm going out on a big limb here that there is a reason everything is Non-Refundable! This happens all the time with guests! STAY AWAY!
