I stayed for a few days during the heat wave when it was 105° and up for over a week hoping to get some relief ina nice air conditioned room... NOPE!! And when I called the front office to complain they said it was hot in their apartment too. "It's just too hot outside I promise it's working." Didn't come check or anything... The freakin AC was blowing hot air, it wasn't cool at all. The room was semi clean, I found trash and a spiral notebook but no dust. Lol. The refrigerator didn't get very cold. The towels were gross. Wifi wouldn't work and they weren't concerned and didn't seem to even heare when I asked about it. There seemed to be a lot of long-term or very regular "customers" here too. Only good thing is they let me have my dog. And I got it at a semi-cheap price. $60/night plus taxes and all the other stuff they sneak in.
Stayed here as a last resort, and I didn't realize it was graduation weekend. I can see why this was the only place that had rooms available. Dirty walls, dirty filters in the heater/ac unit, outdated, and all around, just felt dirty. Could be nice with some fresh paint and new linens. Owners should invest a little $$ it would help big time! Won't be staying here again.
Positive: Nothing Negative: I made this reservation for my son and when he tried to check in they denied him. I spoke to the clerk on the phone and was told I would get a refund. He then hung up on me. I had to pay for another hotel.
Upon checking in I was greeted by a young lady who was very pleasant and made checking in easy and nice. Secondly, I almost winced as I went in expecting the worse from reading the reviews, but the room was nice: nice paint, everything worked, plenty of lighting and air conditioner was efficient, plenty of hot water, towels and bed linen was clean. You might want to know that there is no pool - it looks like there was one once, but the area is completely filled in, it must have been recent because the pool furniture etc. was still lying around. Now, this is a very quiet place, not by the freeway, which is why I choose it - it seems like it's hard to find a hotel in Chico that's not by the freeway! Very quiet and peaceful stay, I would come back, wish they had a pool. Oh, flat screen tv but not a lot of channels.
Came in expecting the worst given reviews for this place. However, it was a pretty decent experience. Pros: +I looked, there were no bugs of any sort on our bed or floor. + The AC, fridge, microwave looked and functioned just fine. + Overall, the place was clean. + Easy parking + Close to Chico State and other shopping areas + No weirdos hanging out in the area. Felt pretty safe even late at night ( we got there at around midnight 2 times) + Affordable! During graduation other places doubled their prices. We paid $150 for a 1 bed during graduation weekend Downside: - Towels were stained. Not like they weren't washed, more like they had really dark stains that couldn't be removed by the washer or something. So, def bring your own towel. - Minor physical damages (e.g. a little damage to the center if the bathroom door, screw holes from things that were probably screwed on the wall before - small details like that). - Not the most chic-looking place on the outside Overall, I would stay there if you are in a tight budget and really needed a place to crash. Not the most pretty place, but it is safe, clean (except for towels), and affordable.
Front desk woman was friendly over the phone and in person. Coffee maker that has the coffee, cups, and sugar. As for the showers, the water pressure is pretty decent and the temperature of the water gets really warm. I will admit, there were some blood stains on the bathroom walls and the towels did look a little worse for wear. I have not noticed any big of sorts, though. The room is nice and quiet and the bed is comfortable. I am not a picky person though. For $78 I can honestly say, I am not dissatisfied. I have not tried to turn on the TV and probably won't. I would suggest that if you decide to stay here, ask for the internet password as you get your room key.
The most bothersome to me about this place is in the room I was in there were two electrical outlets the were in my opinion fire hazards. Both were usable if you were not scared of speaking! I did contact the front desk and they sent someone to look at them. However, two days later when I checked out they were still there waiting for someone. The motel is in a good location just off the freeway. So that's a plus. Off the main road set back in the yard it's not as noisy as it could of been. TV fine.
The room looked nice as we asked to see prior to committing staying here, we have stayed here before and no problem, this time however, the sheets were so dingy & grey they need to be bleached, the towels looked stained from idk women wiping off there make-up. Had hot water to shower at night, but in the morning we had luke warm water and we let it run for a long time! Blanket was dirty, the soap dish in the tub/shower combo was missing. Now to say a bit of nice they do look like there remodeling the room as the vanity looked new and the sink looked new as well, for me the bed was comfortable, pillows a different story...lol The hotel staff was very professional and polite! but next time i will spend a bit more money and go to a hotel
