Clean with all the little things you want or need coffee and frig blow dryer iron and board. Beds were comfortable but do move very easily, so watch out for that. Bathrooms are very clean and nice and bright. Showers only but big. The office manager has a coffee machine in the office if you want good coffee free.

Not going to lie, the reviews had me spooked. But this place was the only hotel that had an affordable rate for my trip. We got the deluxe king room and it was great! The room was simple but it was clean. No stains like the pictures showed in the reviews. The bed was comfortable and the TV was nice. They have free wifi so we had everything we needed. As a note I noticed a lot of the horrible reviews were from a year or two ago so I feel they have made some good changes since then. I have no complaints! The location was convenient and though the room was simple, and it lacked any artwork or anything, I am here for vacation and not for the hotel room. Unless you have any special needs I would say that this hotel is pretty suitable for anybody. I would definitely return again, thank you!

Friendly and accommodating staff|Clean, sanitized, family-owned city motel ||Would definitely return here. This is about 2 miles driving up from downtown Santa Barbara, so it’s quiet. We stayed here to go surfing at El Capitan and it was perfect.

Positive: Nothing but a the manager. Very nice but outdated and $ almost --- dollars. Negative: Overpriced. Waiting for updated furniture. Sheets too small for the bed and got a coupon for a 2nd nite for $79 after paying $179 on your app. Negative: ""

We arrived at the town and country around 8:30pm - I called ahead and left a message we would be arriving between 8-10. Upon arrival no one was present we called and they said they would be there in 10 min, 30 min later they arrived so we could finally check in. Our room had a bag over the smoke detector and the tv would not turn on, we tried several times to go down to try changing the remote but no one was at the office. Our mattress had a large stain and mold on the other side(see photos) the bed was uncomfortable and the pillow was terrible. There was hardly any parking , the ice machine didn’t work and the grounds were covered with building materials. A highlight was a dirty pair of underwear in the roof (barf). The shower was nice and large and was furnished with the worst soap/ shampoo products I’ve ever used. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

As I was reading the reviews, I think this is an underrated establishment. It is not super fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. Dare I even say...homey? This was my first time to California; I typically avoid states that do not have reciprocity with Indiana. Some of you may not be familiar with that term, so let me explain. I firmly believe in 2nd amendment rights and have an Indiana lifetime concealed carry permit. Multiple states honor our permit, but CA does not. As a single female who frequently travels alone, I prefer to be well-prepared and well-armed. That being said, from the moment I landed here, I have not felt completely safe, as I know my firearms are locked in my gun safe in my locked vehicle at home and not within my reach. However, when I got here, I relaxed. First, there was an older man checking the fluids on his vehicle, and I got the impression he lives here. He had a very sweet puppers with him, and readily granted my request to pet her, telling me that she was a very good girl. (I could already tell, as she was wagging so hard she almost fell over as she tried to drag him over to me so she could get lovins.) Then, I went into the office, and a delightful young lady checked me in. This has the feel of a family owned business. In other words, it feels like those I have interacted with take pride and ownership in the place. It feels...safe. Like I entered the protection of a family...of a community. Like I said, it's not new or fancy, but I would take this atmosphere over the other any day of the week. If you are in the Santa Barbara area, give this place a try. These are kind, hard working people who deserve your business.

Very nice rooms and location. They have free coffee. The people on front desk are very friendly.
