Toucans Ale House - DO NOT ORDER OFF OF THEIR WEB SITE - You will not get what you wanted. Also, DO NOT ORDER THE SPECIAL DRINKS 1/31/2023 $30 ea - unbelievable PLUS - take cash-they add a percentage to the bill ALL extra condiments are $1 plus added. Now the food was very good.
Also, no shrimp and grits.
Great little local sports hangout type bar restaurant. The bartender sort fantastic in the service was great. the food was hot and fresh. The interior design was not super impressive but everything else made up for it.
Nice stop just off of 95, great comfort food with nice friendly service. I had the special, fried chicken and mashed, w gravy, generous serving and delicious, more than I should have eaten. Our table partners were happy with their meals also.
We have been wanting to try this joint out when in town. Let me start by saying the service was fantastic. The food was okay. My lady had a ceaser salad and sweet potato fries. I had the shrimp & fish blackened with fried okra and green beans. The food was okay, nothing to blow you out of your socks but fair portions for the price. Forgot to take a picture of the shimp & fish as it came out after the sides due to "being lost." We would come back and try again.
Recently moved to Brunswick and this was our first trip to Toucan's. Beer was cold! Traditional wings with medium Buffalo sauce were great! Loaded Chicken Tenders were very good with the same medium Buffalo sauce. Get the Chocolate Martini! Caitlin and Heather took good care of us at the bar! We look forward to returning soon!
Great chill place. The bartender was amazing! She had a great attitude, attentive, and absolutely great sense of humor, which just made the atmosphere even better. My husband had an IPA, and I ordered The Wife. We shared the Chicken Tender Fries, and it was delicious.
Probably one of the worst places I've eaten in a while as far as food goes. I ordered a lunch special listed as chopped steak with grilled onions, gravy, mashed and green beans. It was barely seasoned ground beef. There were no onions on it. The mashed was decent but both it and the gravy are clearly premade items. The green beans were basically rotten. The bartender, I believe she goes by Faith was quick and nice, and also pretty busy for the time of day and the location. I probably won't be coming back unless it's purely for a beverage
Stopped in for a late dinner. Ordered a craft beer and a Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich. It was tasty, though the chicken was slightly overcooked. The bacon was crispy and the bun wad fresh. The French Fries were terrific, nice and crunchy with a soft middle. Service was good. Place was somewhat noisy. Nice menu with decent selection of beers.
