The pork katsu curry was fantastic! Really crispy, great quality meat, and the curry was a nice thick consistency. The potato croquette was also very tasty and well fried. But the shrimp tempura was very undercooked, with the batter still goey under a first layer of very pale and chewy batter. It was super disappointing, but everything else was so good I'll consider it a fluke. Overall I'd come back to try more from their menu.
We were just walking past while exploring Little Tokyo and found this gem! Delicious Loin Katsu, Salmon Roll and Black Pork Sausage - would recommend! Edamame was average, but still nice overall ❤️
First evening coming to TOT, I was not at all disappointed to enjoy a quiet and quaint time. I ordered the salmon bento and its slight sweet sauce was the best I’ve ever tried before with plenty of mixed tempura, fresh salads, and side of miso soup with bits of tofu-seaweed! My favorite appetizer was the takoyaki, every piece was so savory! Even the Salmon roll was to die for!
We came here for dinner last night and had a lovely experience. We could walk in right away when we walked past just before 7 pm; however, when we left at about 7:45, it was quite busy, and you might have to wait for a table. The serving sizes were generous, and the food was delicious. I had the spicy chicken ramen and loved the broth. The atmosphere and service were quite average.
Tuesday night - relaxed atmosphere. The sushi menu is quite small. Instead come here for every other Japanese comfort food and you'll enjoy yourself. (Picture is SukiYaki)
Overall: 3.7/5 (dine in) This place had no wait on a Saturday night so we just decided to try it. The food was decent but not good enough to compete with the other Japanese restaurants in Little Tokyo. Sayuri Sake ($16): This was the only sweet sake listed so we got that one. It was pretty good and easy to drink. It's not as sweet as the flavored soju but it's sweet enough that you don't really taste the alcohol. Dragon Roll ($17), Alaska Roll ($15), Salmon Roll ($8.50): Their sushi was meh and pretty bland. Would not get sushi here again. Shrimp Shumai ($8): This was actually really good and my favorite item of the whole meal. Premium Black Pork Loin ($19): This was my second favorite item. The pork loin pieces were thick and good, not too dry. However, I think the portion size is aa bit small for the price. Tenzaru ($15): The cold soba noodle was okay. The mix tempura was good.
My new favorite restaurant in Little Tokyo because of its price, generosity, and quality. Delicious food, variety of options on their menu, good service, and spacious atmosphere. This place reminds us of Ginza Bairin in Hawaii - which top notch Japanese Tonkatsu. Their spicy miso soup is also very delicious abd unique. Would love to come back here to try other items.
Teishokuya of Tokyo is a little restaurant on the outside edge of the Japanese Village Plaza. I always pass by and it's easy to miss. Their restaurant doesn't look super attractive, but it doesn't look terrible and I think this middle ground defines ToT very well. The inside of the restaurant looks average, many of the restaurants in Little Tokyo are very historied and may have older, deteriorating furniture. ToT is getting there; their furniture is outdated but it's still in good condition. One downside about their place was that it was really loud. It felt like I could hear all the other groups in the room. Their service was normal and the staff was polite but they forgot our appetizer and had to make it later. The food is mid, like something I could make at home on a weekday. I ordered the curry udon and it tasted fine. We also had the takoyaki and the spicy tuna donburi, again they were just fine. I'm sure they're food is very stable, but I wouldn't want to go again. The taste of their dishes didn’t have any draw. The main draw of their food seemed to be their portion sizes. You can see in the pictures that they give a big bowl full of food, but at the same time they still skimp out on the meat. 5 slices of tuna for a big bowl of rice and salad. 2 pieces of chicken for a big bowl of udon. That's unpleasant.
I absolutely love this place! I came here on a Wednesday during a work trip and decided to get the Spicy Tonkatsu, Spicy Tuna Toll, Scallop Sushi, and iâve horchata. And my it was all delicious, and to be honest Iâve never been huge on sushi but
Need I say more? WOW. Came here on the recommendation of a client and holy moly itâs soooo delicious. We made 4 choices (blackened miso cod, toro hand roll, yellow tail hand roll, and picachu roll). I canât imagine anything not being delicious on
Holy wow this place was DELICIOUS! I got the shrimp sando and my friend got the chicken sando (he had never heard of or had a sandwich like that before and still talks about to this day). The shrimp sando was soooo good! Perfectly worked with walnuts
Food, service, and atmosphere all 5/5. I got the BBQ Catfish (the catfish is lightly breaded and fried) Bowl-Lito, incredible. The people were super friendly and patient, with so many tasty options I didnât know what to get. The atmosphere was marv
We discovered this hidden gem near our hotel on New Yearâs Eve. The restaurant had beautiful decor, and the food experience exceeded our expectations. Not realizing the portions were so generous, we ordered more than we could eat. The staff was inc
Solid lunch spot. Prices are very reasonable considering the times. All their meats have the nice smoky charred taste, which I love. Iâd say not a dinner spot if youâre looking for some ambience, but still great for take out. Tried both the yakin
Warning: this is not a review about their Ramen I just wanted to say that I had to come and grab a late night snack so I decided to not get ramen but some of the side, vegan friendly dishes that they had there lol Anyway, I was happy I came by not
I came here for a business lunch with a couple of colleagues. I decided to go with the ramen combo, which is a small plate (starter), one ramen and a drink. My starter was the Spicy Tori Karaage, which is a Japanese Fried Chicken in spicy chili sauce
I have a soft spot for classic Japanese restaurants that have Yakitori as they remind me of a childhood restaurant. Sake House Miro was a recommendation from good friends who moved to LA so naturally we came to try it! The Yakitori we ordered was al
My family has been going to Kuishimbo for almost 30 years. We absolutely love this place and we come here whenever weâre in the area. The charbroiled flavor her is so strong and delicious. We love the cabbage salad and the curtido (pickled cabbage)
I love the environment at FBBCHLP! Everyone there is very supportive towards one another throughout the workouts and challenges. Iâve learned so much about my nutrition, mental health and physical strength. I would definitely recommend this place t
I was amazed by the authentic Japanese cuisine at UKA, and being Japanese myself, I believe this restaurant truly captures the essence of our culinary heritage. The chefs' attention to detail brought out flavors that transcended mere appearance, leav

I can't speak more highly of this amazing establishment. My friends and I came hungry and were treated to some of the most authentic and delicious plant-based / cruelty-free dishes. I ordered a little assortment and each one became my favorite! The o
Valentina and Helen are absolutely wonderful trainers. They always go out of their way to help everybody out: always giving adjustments to improve posture and performance. I always book a session when one of them is there. They also play great music.
My time at this gym has been nothing short of exceptional! I recently hit my 1 year anniversary and am proud to be a member of CrossFit Echo Park. At first I was hesitant about joining CrossFit in general due to thinking it was just a bunch of rugged
