Torino - Italian restaurant in Metuchen - 12 New St, USA

Our favorite traditional Italian restaurant in town. Their staff are so friendly and professional. We love their meatball appetizer, and all other appetizers. My husband loved the Brussel sprouts in creamy sauce. And their pasta is a must try. The pistachio sauce was very impressive. I had the fish. I am not a big fun of pepper, but this pepper sauce compliments the fish so well. Fish skin was perfectly crispy, and the fish meat is soft and tender. Nothing beats fresh fish, meat and pasta. And their give huge portion for everything. There is only street parking, or you can park in public parking and walk over.

We recently stopped in at @torino_metuchen in Metuchen, NJ, for a special family get-together. We tried the Wagyu Steak Torino, Fried Calamari, Cheese Risotto Balls, Chicken Parm, and Shrimp Scampi. Everything was delicious. If you're in the Central Jersey area, I recommend checking them out. The restaurant has a cozy, fun atmosphere. They do offer some wines available,and are also byob, which makes it a great place to hold parties, work functions, holiday parties, etc. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. They don't show a children's menu but did offer chicken tenders and fries for the kids, which was a great option. I definitely look forward to going back to try the rest of the menu.

I recommend making reservations because it can get really busy there. When we sat down, they sat us in a corner where it looked like a pump on the ground, so it was leaking and didn't smell great. It would've been nice if they sat us somewhere different, that is my only complaint otherwise everything else was good. The fettuccine Alfredo was not too saucy, and the crusted chicken that the waitress recommended to try over the grilled one was really good, I was pleasantly surprised. The zucchini fries were made well and tasted really good, with the marinara sauce on the side.

A wonderful experience at Torino! We celebrated our marriage anniversary here and can’t be happier with the food and the service. We’ll be back again!

Torino is a great restaurant for fine Italian cuisine. My entrée was a terrific, well-prepared chicken parm over angel hair pasta. For appetizers, I enjoyed the cavoletti pecorino, which was fried brussel sprouts in a delicious cream sauce. For my desert, I ordered the homemade tiramisu. Everything was high-quality and tasted excellent. The atmosphere was also very pleasant with old jazz and crooner music played. For a high-end Italian restaurant, the prices weren’t extremely bad. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend dining at Torino.

This was a great restaurant. The crowd is a little bit older, so I wouldn’t come here for a younger crowd. The service is great and the food is AMAZING. They don’t skimp out on the portion sizes. They were also really accommodating with my nut allergies. Now J will say I do think the food was slightly overpriced for what I got, but it was a great time. You can also BYOB here. Overall, great restaurant.

Amazing food in Metuchen. My eggplant parmesan was delicious. When you can cut it with a fork you know they treat their food special. Dessert are homemade and are fantastic. Make reservations. You will not be disappointed.

Solid Italian place, I would definitely return. Good food and service. Small but interesting wine list and no other booze. The pasta was good, not great - it wasn't cooked al dente. The sauce was quite good though. We also loved the pork chop and the risotto balls. The sauce with the risotto balls was simple but delicious. I loved the Torino Spritz! And the unsweetened tea was good too. We really liked the chocolate souffle. The Limoncello cake was alright but didn't quite have that Limoncello punch, so I wasn't a big fan.
