Tops Bar-B-Q Summer/National - Restaurant in Memphis - 3353 Summer Ave, USA

Quaint little shop, just got a 1/3lb rib plate to go. Service was fast & kind. Wasn't busy at all. Ribs came dry rubbed. Seasoning was good enough. I tried the mild sauce which came in a pack. It wasn't bad at all. Only about 5 bones on the plate though. Meat was tender and soft. I got the baked beans and potato salad. Nothing too special about the two but they paired well as they were very tasty. The bread was two hamburger bunn tops, not toasted. And the pink lemonade was very awesome, even though it was fountain. The atmosphere is kinda tight, small lil tables. The portion to price is acceptable. A couple of 🪰 flying around but it's mainly an in & out joint. I would eat there again..

If you are from Memphis, then you know about Tops. It is our local chain BBQ restauraunt. Known for their "Chopped" pork BBQ sandwhich. Every other restaurant in this city does a "pulled" pork sandwhich. It is an amazing sandwhich and quick. Like any true southerner, make sure you get slaw on the sandwhich. The unsung hero at Tops is the cheeseburger though. It is consistent and soooo good. Pictured is the double cheeseburger, BBBq baked beans and crinkle cut fries. Go check them out.

I don’t know how this place is not 5 star I stopped here visiting from Fl the staff was amazing. Did take long to get are order the cook was talking to everyone there which was cool haven’t had good food since I’ve been in Memphis until I stopped here. After we received the food the cook came out asked us did we have everything we needed and how is the food. Best bbq I’ve had in a long time it felt like I was in old school barber shop

This place is nasty as heck, everyone is standing around looking crazy. I came here for my daughter but decided against it because I stood at the counter a good five minutes in a staring contest (apparently) with the 3 employees standing around not doing anything, including greeting the customer. I left and ran into another Tops less than five minutes from this location. It's way cleaner and customer friendly

People that are larger than normal cannot dine in here. The booths are so tiny and do not move. I am normal size and it's very uncomfortable for me. My family cannot eat here because they cannot squeeze into the tiny permanent affixed booths. Think it's time for an upgrade! Store down the street has tables and chairs!

Server Tracie W isn't fit for her job description. Rude , unprofessional, got my orders wrong, and not to mention snatched my card out of my hand. If you're having a bad day don't take it out on paying customers. That's very unacceptable

I ordered the loaded nachos. All I got was hunks of meat & cheese. Nothing else. This is the 2nd time they messed up my nachos. Not to mention the very long wait in the drive thru. Once I got to the window, the employees were arguing about the orders being wrong. Total chaos!!!! They need to close this location or hire competent workers!!!! $24.00 down the drain!!! I'm due a refund!!! Totally dissatisfied!!!!

FOOD WASNT EVN HOT AND IT WAS A LINE OF CARS , SO IM THINKING..... ILL GET HOT FOOD! NOPE, FRIES HARD AND STALE BURGER WAS WARM BUT WASNT HOT FOR IT TO BE MADE TO ORDER. FINNALY EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE BUT I CAN NEVER GET HOT FOOD FROM THIS LOCATION.EVEN WITH MONTHS IN BETWEEN MY VISITS. I TRY TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER SHOT AND THE SAME THING! FOOD NOT HOT! I WONT BE BACK.
