Top Hill Motel - Motel in Saratoga Springs - 3290 US-9, USA

The motel was a good place to stay for our attendance to a concert at SPAC. It was very close and easy to get to and from the venue. There is a very good BBQ restaurant within walking distance of the motel. It is an older motel, but it's kept up. There is a pool that looked clean and well taken care of. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It is close to a busy roadway so there is quite a bit of traffic noise, but I already have plans for stay there in the near future.

Was looking for a place to sleep . Crossed all the boxes . Great Value for the area, clean, hot water, Refrigerators, even a nice little pool. All close to town and track 2.5 miles. Mike the owner couldn't have been nicer. Would stay ther again.

It’s a good motel for the price. We were just passing through town and needed a place to rest. The room is clean if you don’t look too close. The heating unit is load and the walls are thin. If you’re a heavy sleeper or really tired it’s fine.

I booked this motel through Booking.com for Outlaw Fest at SPAC. The booking stated I had until 9/11 to cancel the booking free of charge. On 9/5 my friend who lives near SPAC messaged me stating she had no one renting her house that wknd and I was welcome to stay there. On 9/7 I went to my booking and completed the process of cancelling my booking. The page said “you have successfully cancelled your booking”. Great! Done deal! Nope!!!! While I’m at the concert my phone is ringing repeatedly from a Saratoga number. Finally I answer it and it’s the motel asking where I am. I told them I had cancelled and he argued with me. The next day I searched for my cancellation in safari and email. Couldn’t find it. Called the motel and the lady was super rude and hung up on me refusing to refund my card. Booking.com claims I didn’t cancel as well. I swear to god I canceled and obviously something went wrong. Booking has requested the motel refund my booking but says there will be a fee “if” the motel decides to “make an exception” for me. Beyond BS. Never using booking dot com again or this motel. They suck.

Don't be fooled when when you see they have a pool its not very big 5ft deep ad maybe like 10 feet long. Probably better for just cooling off and supervised children..Closed at night which was a bummer because we didnt arrive until closer to 3pm which is check in and our concert was at 7pm so we left soon after check in to get food and when we got back around 12 it was closed. The amount of money we paid for this room was kind of a joke the room looked alright when we walked in but turning on the lights you got to see a wide range of flaws all over. Not to mention the bathroom lights was the most stranges light ever like a dark yellow color so you couldn't see the red flags. I knw its summer but the amount of ants that was coming out of the refrigerator and all round it was more then i could accept. Not gonna go into detail but the rugs really need to be steam vacuumed and maybe a new paint job. The hot water took like 20 mins to get warm and the towels where soo rough to the touch of your skin and crusty like as if they just soak them in cold water and let them dry in the sun no fabric softener to make them smell good and feel good to dry off. Glad i brought my own towels. The beds felt like they could have been from when they opened. The sheets were clean . Ac worked good but over all i would have rather camped outside for free. Not saying that the gentleman checking us in wasnt nice we was friendly and informative but over all they need to put some new energy and love into this little 14 room h/motel and maybe really lower the ridiculous price if their not going to maybe give it a make over. There was no breakfast or drinks anywhere. And in the mornig inside the check in and check out room there was a pot of cOffee that he made but the coffee pot maker itself looked older and as if it hadn't really been cleaned properly. I decided to pour myself a cup and then when i opened the garbage right next to it i noticed right away the filter they must have thrown away before making a new pt and the amount of mold along with what looked like it could have bren the beginning stage of black mold on that coffee filter and old dryed up coffee grinds was more then enough for me to not drink It. Like comeon would you want to drink out of that yourself? Maybe he cleaned it good before he made a new pot but that just showed the lack of cleanliness on their part. It was a nice quiet spot and i wish it was alittle more cleaner and up to date over all specially because they are close to S-pac which alot of concert and shows attracts a lot of travelers in to stay and no one should have to pay more then 85$ plus tax for the room we got. Please put some TLC in this top hill hotel. Change that damn yellow bathroom light for starters steam vaccum the floors and curtains and paints the walls and maybe paint the trim a dofferent color. NEW BEDs are a must my back hurt for a week im only 36.. get some fabric softener for your towls when you dry them and maybe put coffee pots in the rooms for people to make their own coffee and maybe you can get shirley's restaurant to work with you and give your guests a 10% discount for breakfast in the morning. if you atleast one of these things ive suggested i promise youll start to see a difference in the over all energy of the people that book a room. Maybe even get a special suite room with a jacuzzi in the room. Ive never paid more then 125$ for a room that didn't have a jacuzzi /hot tub in it. We paid Almost 200$ for a room we maybe only spent about 9 or 10 hours in the room all together. Help me change this rating because i really would love to give a better review but its as if people are afraid to speak up and be honest about their overall stay and impression of the plays. I think it has LOTS of potential thought and i have faith that the owners will see this and take it into consideration to upgrade and bring some light and color in all the rooms. Maybe give each room a tiny theme or some sort idk make the value of the room higher.

My wife was hired to work for this establishment… she was relieved of her duties and owner is refusing to pay her… extremely rude owner … not someone who should be in business with the public
