Tony's Pizza - Italian restaurant in Pompton Lakes - 264 Wanaque Ave, USA

Ordered a reg pie and a “speciality” pie (la molfeta) It was a sloppy messy. Couldn’t enjoy it at all. I won’t be ordering from here again. They also need larger pizza boxes.

The food and the service were excellent. Easy to choose from the menu since you have the option of going with Italian or Mexican. The mussels in the sweet red sauce were the best I've had. Looking forward to trying more items on future visits.

My apologies to the people who like this kinda pie. I could only describe it as a horrible sloppy mess.

I grew up a few blocks from Tony's Pizza in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, glad to see it's still there! It was a treat for us kids to walk down the street to pick up 2 large cheese pizzas on Friday nights! :)

ITALIAN & MEXICAN FOOD IN ONE PLACE? AT FIRST I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS TO TRY BUT MY EXPERIENCE TURNED OUT FANTASTIC! I WAS WITH SOME FAMILY. WE ORDERED A BUNCH OF APPETIZERS AND JUST WENT CRAZY. SERVICE WAS ON POINT. OUR SERVER VANESSA WAS PHENOMENAL. I WISH I LIVED CLOSER BECAUSE I WOULD DEFINITELY BE A REGULAR. BYOB!!!

Tacos was ok but the taco it's self wasn't well cooked. Pizza is awesome there. Great selection 👌

I live in Rockaway & been coming here for years. Tbh I don’t know how the Mexican food is, I have always ordered either a calzone or chicken roll & a Caesar salad. Reason why I come is because they FRESHLY MAKE the calzone or chicken roll. It is going to take 15-20 mins but it is worth it because it is fresh & gigantic! Their Caesar is delicious as well. One thing I like are their portions they are gigantic & the prices are great for the size. The head chef (who now owns it) has been there for 2 decades plus? If I am not mistaken he bought the store from the previous owner & added his own flavor. Awesome place, been coming here for over 10 years.

We were a little concerned to order from Tony's when Margherita was spelled wrong on the menu [they spelled it Margarita, like the drink]. Well, we were in the neighborhood and all in on trying new pies. We weren't wrong. The pie had plenty of fresh mozz covering the crust. The unique part of the pie is that it had roasted peppers on it [this was different]. The crust - the typical thickness of a regular pie but very dry upon the first bite. The sauce and mozz was not bad at all with the basil but what completely changed the flavor was the roasted peppers; unfortunately it overtook the entire flavor of the pie. This would've been a decent margherita pie minus the roasted peppers and crust. We also decided to try a regular pie with vegetables. The pie was LOADED with veges to the point where it completely fell apart. I've never eaten pizza with a fork but had no choice with this one. Overall, it was okay. The regular mozz, sauce, and crust [still a little dry] were good [the sauce was definitely the highlight here. The veges should probably see a decrease just so that it can be handled.
