Tony D's - Italian restaurant in New London - 92 Huntington St, USA

Went here for dinner at 630 on Sunday night, called in to reserve the night before. It was a great experience overall with great food and great service. The young servers we had was very attentive. Our food did not take long, despite Sunday night it was not too busy so maybe that was why, but it was raining and gloomy outside so weather may have impacted lesser crowd situation. We had oyster for appetizer. I normally do NOT like oysters, at all, but I actually liked it here! We then tried chocolate martini drink, wow,it was delicious! My main dish was the anti pasta shrimp dish, it was enough for me as my dinner meal. It was 4 jumbo shrimp with bell peppers, fried bread of some sort underneath. The shrimp was very flavorful and it was THE best shrimp I had from a restaurant!! I had A LOT of shrimp dishes(I love shrimp) but this really was the best . Oh, the free bread and dipping sauce was good!! Overall, The food was the best Italian food I have ever had! I definitely would come back here again.

I like Tony D's! I don't think it's perfect. Calamari: Its strange-ly paired with an Italian-ish dressing. It's not bad: But its an odd idea. Personal Pizza: Looks bad - but is actually very tasty. Nice cheese and snappy crust. Chicken Genovese: Very unique and very good. Sweet Sausage: Its good. But basic. Nothing flashy here, flavorwise. Give Tony D's a shot.

Let's gooooooo. Consistency is what makes you excellent and that is what Tony D's is... everything is the bomb, this rivals any 4 star Italian in the state! The steaks are the absolute best, get the demi on the side y'all! Sorry about the bite taken out.

Loved the ambience and service! Started with a salad, then got the white truffle fettuccine for dinner, and finished with the tiramisu for dessert!😋Everything was fresh, flavorful & delicious! Overall 10/10!

Food is always good, affordable, and portion sizes usually results in bringing something home for the next day. Bread was hot and served with olive oil & tapenade. For starters, the four of us shared the calamari which was all rings and included tampora hot red peppers served with marinara sauce. The entrees included swordfish, porterhouse steak, Chicken Marsala, and shrimp scampi. All dishes were excellent. Only one of us had dessert and it was the lemon sorbet which was cleverly served in a frozen lemon rind. Well done for an enjoyable dining experience.

This is going to be long,but nothing but the truth. So we made reservations for Saturday at 4 pm for a birthday dinner for my friend Pam. Walking in we sat at the bar and had chocolate martinis that Travis made (which was his birthday also Happy birthday Travis) So delicious. After drinks he offered a glass of water.which helped cleanse a bit. Brought to our table which was very comfortable. Greeted by Tiana whom was so pleasant. We started with antipasto for 2 and 3 colossal shrimp. Basket of breads with olive oil and roasted garlic. All was so delicious and we were getting full but onto main coarse I went for a stuffed veal tomahawk chop 16 Oz (lol) With potatoe croquet and mix vegetables. It was cooked perfectly and so tender with the perfect touch of flavor and spices. Melt in your mouth meal I honestly did not want to swallow the taste from my mouth. Pam had eggplant on top of a chicken filet and a bed of pasta. Absolutely delicious. Yes food went home. If I could give it 10 stars I absolutely would. The place was so clean The staff was on there toes The smiles on there faces and the kindness go hand and hand. Bravo to the owner you should be so proud to have such A1 establishment. Reviews to me are everything when deciding on places you have never been too. The Reviews were wonderful and I am so happy and grateful that I get to give you a review of such an amazing place to dine. Thank you for making Pams birthday a wonderful one.

Made reservations and were seated right away. All the staff was really nice and attentive. They give you bread and a garlic olive spread which was delicious because the subtle olive flavor blends in perfectly with the garlic. I got the Cajun shrimp which were juicy and well seasoned. It comes with four jumbo shrimp and then there's like a palm sized portion of a soft breading under. I'm not sure what it's called but it was also really good and the roasted peppers complimented the whole dish so well. My date got the lollipop lamb chops (medium) and they were so juicy and perfect, we literally couldn't have asked for better. Not pictured are the garlic mashed potatoes we got as a side and they were so creamy and delicious. I have to say, the showstopper was the peanut butter creme brulee. The top layer was burnt just right and thin and it was really creamy and so flavorful that you can't stop eating it but you also never want it to end. It's literally the best creme brulee I've ever had and I went to a tech high school for culinary so that's saying something. The atmosphere was nice and tranquil and the bathroom was also well decorated and clean. 10/10 would highly recommend if you want to spend a good bit of money for a great night out.

I have lived in this area for 50+ years and have never been to Tony D's. We did not have reservations, we were walk in's. My significant other had been a couple times before. The staff were attentive and overly accommodating. The meals, the wine, the specialty drinks, the bread w/ dipping oil, dessert, after dinner cocktail, all absolutely excellent. We enjoyed every aspect of Tony D's this is what going out to dinner should be like.
