Amazing ramen and worth the wait! Went without a reservation on a Wednesday evening during the holidays and had a 2 hour wait which isn’t bad because you can explore a lot of other things around the area. Both the classic and the spicy tan tan really impressed us and were definitely worth the hype. The broth was perfectly flavoured and the meat was so tender and nice, loved it! Service was fast, courteous and simple just like it should be. Definitely recommend checking it out
The ramen was okay, but I expected better from a Michelin Guide restaurant. My friends and I came here for lunch and were excited to get something warm because it was a cold day! Since they don't take (call in advance) lunch reservations, we had to go to Tonchin to put our name down, and they wait 45 minutes to be seated. This wasn't too bad, though, as we just shopped in the area until our table was ready. The place was more spacious than we expected, so we could comfortably sit and hear each other. I ordered the Tsukune buns because my friend said they were really good, and they definitely lived up to the high price and expectations! Those were easily the best buns I have ever had because the meat was so juicy and well-seasoned, and the bun part was so fluffy that it just melted in my mouth! The buns were easily the highlight of the day! It is just unfortunate that the ramen was no way near as good... I got the dipping spicy goma tsukemen, and it was just not spicy (and, in fact, more bland than anything). It was not worth the extra price to get these as dipping ramen because the broth was not concentrated (which I heard is pivotal for dipping ramen). My friends got the classic Tokyo and Spicy Tan Tan, respectively, and also said their dishes were just okay. My friend who came here before and recommended the spicy buns said she remembers the ramen being better, and this time, it was pretty mediocre. I did try a bit of hers (classic Tokyo), and it was at least more flavorful than mine. Lastly, maybe this is how dipping ramen is supposed to be (this was my first time ever having it), but the broth was lukewarm when I would've liked it hotter.... overall, I'm leaving a bit disappointed and would only come back for the buns because they were SO good. I hate to give this place 3 stars because I feel like it's more of a 3.5 because of the buns but I feel like the ramen just does not compete with some of the other ramen places I have given 4 stars too. Also, this ramen is pricier than some of the better spots that I have been to when it definitely did not deserve to be...
We went on the 8th and the food was so good we made a reservation for the next day to come back again! I got the spicy tan tan, my husband got the vegan option. Both were DELICIOUS! The broth of the spicy tan tan had me seeing god. It brought a tear to my eye. They do a lunch combo that is a good value. We did the salad one day and a mushroom bun the other. The buns were so good but the standout to me between the two was the salad because the dressing was so good. The shaved ice was amazing for dessert! We got the mango both times because why mess with a good thing although the matcha one looked amazing when we saw someone else order it. They even wrote happy birthday in chocolate for my husband on the plate and put a little candle which was so cute and nice!! Our server was super nice and on top of everything! We had the same person both days which is a treat! I would return, and will as soon as I am in the city again. It took all my willpower to not buy one of the super cute 6th anniversary shirts or hoodies while we were there. Go, bring friends, it’s amazing.
The first thing you need to know is you should have a reservation or plan to wait. When I showed up for our reservation the host was so overwhelmed by walk-ins he forgot who I was between me checking in and tapping on the window to have my guests join me inside. First impressions aside the space is beautifully designed with the kitchen at the rear of the space but open to the dining room so you can see all the action. The menu is slightly different from a typical ramen joint as one of their unique offerings is “rice balls” each being served slightly differently. The shishito peppers are a small but mighty serving. While you only get 10 they pack a flavored seasoning that makes them a solid choice. The gyoza are also unique here as they are served in a hot cast iron pan and a starch broth is poured over them table side making for a nice sizzling platter. Unlike traditional gyoza there are not stuck together but more individual dumplings. They don’t need the chili sauce but you do you. There are three different styles of ramen dry mazemen noodles, dipping noodles, and classic ramen noodles. We tried the Ban Ban Kinoko, the smoky dashi ramen, and the classic tonkatsu. All were delicious. The smoky dashi was super earthy and rich with a slight slickness on the surface of the broth. The noodles had just the right bite and there were at least a dozen clams in the soup. We did not order the shaved ice dessert but it is huge and quite popular. All in all, I was very impressed and will come back to try a few different items. Of course, I will be making a reservation as no one should ever wait 2hrs to eat.
Food is as good as last time. However the waiter keeps checking us in a frequency that almost feels like she wants us to rush up and finish the food so she could clean the table to serve more people. She checked three to four times even when we still had food on our plates. This is my second time visiting and it's not a nice experience. Foods are great as always though.
Amazing ramen! All the dishes that I ordered were phenomenal. We were super late for our reservation due to the new year’s crazy traffic, but the host was so kind and welcomed us. So happy that my family and I got the chance to try the ramen!!
Noodles itself average level, but the quality of meat 👍👍. Great vibe in the restaurant. The dessert was special. Banana base but with butter and nut that made the texture tasted like cake. It's Michelin ranked restaurant.
Alright, so I finally hit up Tonchin in New York, and let me tell you, it was even more awesome than I heard! Hands down, this is the best ramen I’ve had since I was in Japan. I tried the spicy tantan – the bartender mentioned it’s a total hit there, and yeah, it’s a winner for sure. The broth was out of this world – super flavorful, rich, and with the right amount of kick. The pork was tender and tasty, and the noodles? Absolutely spot on. Usually, I’m all about extra noodles, but this time, I wanted to enjoy every bit of that incredible broth without drowning it in extras. And, getting a table? Way easier than I thought. I booked a bar seat on Resy for an early time, and it was smooth sailing. If you’re thinking about trying Tonchin, just do it. It’s a game-changer.
One of the top 2 ramen in the US outside of Japan. It is that good. Small space of only 10 ppl but that new tokyo shoyu ramen deliver. There are a lot of âbest ramen everâ post out there but this is the only place worthy of that title in NYC. Ch
My friend recommended this place and I couldnât be happier with this find. We ordered for Classic Ramen with Asahi the Japanese beer and it was great. I had the veggie option and it was yummy. The whole sitting arrangement was an experience in its
The ramen at this place is truly exceptional! My boyfriend and I are avid ramen enthusiasts, and the chilly winter days in NYC often call for a comforting bowl. Our top recommendation is the Chicken Paitan â don't be alarmed by the raw egg on top;
The food over here is amazing, they have a ton of vegetarian options, which is pretty rare for a ramen place. It's their 2nd location I've visited, at both the locations the food was incredible. Since this is probably one of the busier locations, the
Really good! Everything tasted so well. They have a few vegan / vegetarian option and they taste really well. Dessert is also a must try! You can't go wrong with this restaurant!
Great bowl of noodles even when compared to those you get in Japan. The pork belly is soft and flavorful. Order a side of the chili crunch and that goes really well with the noodles. Staff are really friendly and will let you know what the daily spec
Nice place, great service. Every time guests were seated, the hosts say âIrasshaimaseâ that means Welcome in Japanese. I ordered sake, the regular flavor (Iâm not an expert) and it was fantastic! Well servedðð» We ordered seaweed salad, ta
I come to NYC every year and was recommended by a friend to try this place as he had seen it online and wow! The pork was cooked to perfection, the noodles werenât as soft as I liked them but that was totally my fault since it does give you the opt
This is an amazing choice for Ramen and Asian cuisine. Reviews affirm the high quality and exceptional experience this place provides. I tried one of their bestsellers, and it tasted incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it.
A memorable family birthday dinner here! Our server, Luis, helped us pick an awesome variety for the four of us. One of the specials among the appetizers, the spicy rice cakes with pork belly was fabulous. The chili spice had a nice hot and sour kick
Great class. All the coaches organize classes to push you but allow you to workout to your level. The workout space is not overcrowded and the environment makes you forget youâre actually running!

One of the best bibimbaps Iâve ever had! Cozy space so there is not a lot of seating, but would get it as take-out if needed. Will definitely go back!
Eko is the best property manager Iâve ever met. He is very reactive and provide service as soon as possible. My 4 months tour in NYC is indispensable without his help.
Tickets were crazy affordable, especially in NYC terms. I went with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. It was wayyy cheaper than going to the movies. They had an amazing line-up and the retro 80s vibes were intimate and chill. Plus the come
Out of all of the Georgian restaurants Iâve been to in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Mealz is the one that exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, not to mention the service was amazing. Overall, the environment was very comforting and friendly

Great, fantastic experience. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time during a trip to NYC and it's so great. The location at night in the winter at night was a bit unfamiliar but it's on a main street and near a subway entrance so that's a t
