The food was not at all up to expectation. We were five people in the party and each one of us did not even complete half of the dish. My pesto pasta had almost a cup full of oil in it, literally the food was floating in oil. Not just that but even other orders were not up to mark, and didn't taste as expected. I won't say that the food tasted bad, it just didn't taste good and not even a slight bit healthy.
Having said that, the service was really awesome, the servers were very helpful and attentive and accommodating you.
Ambience was not so good as literally the whole restaurant was empty. The menu cards were dirty with glass and food marks on them.
I recently ordered a takeout from Tomatina Italian Restaurant, and I've got some mixed feelings about it. I opted for their garden pizza with an added chicken topping, but honestly, I regret adding the chicken - it was dry and a bit too salty for my taste. The pizza itself was neither here nor there, not quite round but not exactly square either. The overall taste was just okay, nothing special. I was expecting a nice white sauce, but it turned out to be pretty underwhelming and barely noticeable. Another thing that struck me was the absence of cheese – I mean, isn’t cheese a given on a pizza? I'm left wondering if I had to ask for it separately. Or maybe it was there and I didn't feel it? It maybe the garden is vegan? I
When it comes to value for money, I'm not really impressed. For such a basic pizza, especially without any cheese, the price felt steep. I'd give the pizza at most a 2 out of 5. It just didn't meet my expectations.
However, I've got to give credit where it's due - the customer service was top-notch. Even for a to-go order, the staff, particularly at the front desk, were really great. They were friendly and efficient, making the ordering process a breeze. For the customer service alone, I'd happily give a 5 out of 5. So, in a nutshell, while the pizza was a letdown, the excellent service did add a silver lining to the experience.
This place is nice and well priced, the garlic bread was to bitter for me. So was the spaghetti and meatballs. But the pizza and salad were delicious
Had their lasagna. It's very good. It's one of the places that makes it tasty. It's a nice place for a good dinner experience. (The woman came and took my plate away fast. I thought she was gonna take my shirt too.)
Fantastic food and atmosphere our server was great and we also got a bottle of wine half off
I went to Tomatina’s after a very very long time, and I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of the food and great service hasn’t changed. My absolute favorite thing to order off the menu here is their calzone! It’s a friggin’ amazing calzone! Probably my favorite from anywhere. The dough is chef’s kiss, they give you the option to stuff it with up to 3 toppings and they really load it up to! Also I was ecstatic to find out that they do happy hour here till 7pm!! The drinks are so fun here, I love a fruity drink. We also had the meatballs off the happy hour menu and they were pretty good. Additionally I want to give a shout out to the hispanic lady with the pretty glittery pink nails - sadly I didn’t catch her name but she was soo sweet checking in on us and asking how everything was, really great customer service on her end!
Service was good. I hadn't been there in many years, but the piadine (salmon) was just way too "saucy" with salad dressing.
The pasta are good. I like the meat balls and pasta. The arugula is a bit too “mature”. Baby arugula tastes better. The pear in the pizza also is a bit unfitting. I do really like the outdoor sitting and the friendly staffs. They are super nice and helpful. Would like to come back again.
I was eating across the street and noticed Pinball Museum sign. I'm always very curious, so I walked in and was blown away.
More than what I imagined. Cashier explained everything in detail and broke down pricing and gave me a brief description and
Very unique old school video arcade located in Alameda's busiest commercial district. Pay for unlimited plays for a certain amount of time.
Decent selection of games range from the oldies like centipede and Pac-Man and Tron up to somewhere more mode
The drip coffee was bold and had good flavor. My wife liked her matcha latte. We also had an Ube Mochi cake which was amazing. The staff were friendly and quick. Iâll be coming back here.
Hidden gem in Alameda! Or maybe itâs not a hidden gem, and everyone knows this place. Regardless, all the dishes that we ordered were really good.
- Basil fried rice (super fragrant)
- BBQ lemongrass pork ribs (fall off the bone tender)
- Stuffed c
My partner and I stopped in here for a light dinner. We had a few cocktails and tried the charcuterie board and Margarita flatbread pizza. We really enjoyed everything we tried and had an amazing night. We will definitely be coming back here for date
Great variety of local beers on tap ranging from juicy IPAs to malt-forward stouts, all made with Admiral Maltings' malted grain. They even had local whiskies made with their malts, (will have to try those next time), and they offer tours of their fa
Nice and cool area with the breeze from the bay air. Perfect place for large and small dogs. Pretty bustling on the weekends with so many pups playing. There's always a trashcan within and reach to drop off the dookies.
