Cash only at this dive style bar. Fantastic beer prices and nice bartenders. They have the regulars on tap and tons of cans to buy. The food was decent. Nothing too crazy or memorable, but it hits the spot after a few drinks. We had the spaghetti and meatballs. It reminded me of my mom’s growing up. The kitchen is closed on Mondays. We’ve already been back a few times for some cheap beers, good company, and a fun time!
Always enjoy stopping at Fischers when in the area. Lively bar, music, drinks, food and friendly service.
Stopped in to escape some bad weather and kill some time. Very warm and the bartender was awesome, helpful and friendly. Relaxed environment, no weird dive bar vibes here, but just the right amount of chill if you know what I mean. Stoked to see a cig machine, and holy cows the bathroom was so clean. If you need a break from the day, come on by.
Our absolute favorite local dive bar!!! Great food, charismatic bartenders, good music, cigarette machine and best drinks!
Different cheesesteak #1043 in the last four years. Full video of our visit is on my YouTube channel, Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure. Drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. I loved everything about Tom Fischer’s Tavern. The cheesesteak side by side against most of the places in Philly would probably not do very well. But, if you want a good old fashioned hole in the wall neighborhood, come as you are, friendly bar cheesesteak served by a sassy bartender named Molly, Tom Fischer's Tavern is the place for you!!
Great local watering hole, friendly staff. Can get crowded with locals but that's how you know it a great place!
Embarrassing to see the owner there drinking at the bar like she’s a regular everyday. Super, super, super embarrassing place. Nice for a quick drink after work if you catch the right bartender, but the owner is rude and not to mention smells like rotten eggs and moth balls.
Stopped in for some eats and beers ,sat at bar took several minutes to be acknowledged even though wasn't that busy finally was given service got some beers and went outside .orders sampler platter apps wings ,mozz sticks ,and skins average wings where good then we both had cheese steaks both really good and good roll .whish kitchen was open past 9 especially in summer doesn't even get dark till then but overall nice little bar live you can smoke on patio and eat and drink .

The food was fantastic. Really enjoyed the sauces with the dry rub wings.
The server knew about celiac and was able to help the table order. Was a very nice restaurant and will be back when I'm in town again next.
Sat down immediately. Hostest was very friendly and let us have a nice booth on the back.
