We first started with calling the local Chevy dealer and what a joke they were! Just to look at my SUV was going to cost me $300. I even told them where and what the problem was and they said they couldn't give me a quote unless they took a closer look but they could tell me the price of the parts. How do you know what parts I need but don't know the price to fix it?...I just needed new breaks! When I called Tolman's they asked me to drop it off, they looked at it (no charge) and fixed the problem. Had the SUV back the same day when Chevy told me it would be a few days but to drop it off just in case. The local Chevy dealer (where I bought our Tahoe) is a joke and lost a customer where our family has bought no less than 5 vehicles from them in the past. Tolman's did such a great job they have 100% earned my continuous business.
We've been using them for car repairs for a few years now. And I won't go anywhere else. They are very honest and never price gouge. They communicate very efficiently on what repairs need to be done what can wait and what may be coming up in the future etc. I have never had any bill that surprised me as again they are very thorough in their communication and never try to push repairs you don't need.
I started going here about 6 years ago as a college student. I still use them for any car related issues I have because of how friendly and professional they are. They have always given me a fair price and are always very quick with getting the vehicle fixed and back to me. Really appreciate all their hard work.
I’ve always had good experiences with Tolman’s! My car was making some terrible noises, so I called and got it in right away. Brian was so helpful explaining how long it would take and when he would call to let me know the status. He explained exactly what was going on and gave me multiple options to decide what my budget would allow and didn’t pressure me into the most expensive one. They finished the repair in a timely manner and gave me the option to pick it up after hours, since I was going to be at work when they closed. I’m happy with the repair and the fantastic customer service!
Trans Service Plus, which is attached to Tolman auto, is where I took my auto for transmission work. Very knowledgeable, fixed my issue, and very prompt service. Highly recommend.
Knowledgeable staff, always excellent repairs, and most of all, fairly priced. If it's an easy fix that can be done at home they offer accessible information on how to do it, as well as sources for purchasing any needed material.
I had a good experience with this place. My check engine light was on, I got that tested at O'Reilly's and then brought it here to actually be fixed. I was able to drop it off after hours very easily. The next day it was done by 3pm. Probably the best thing was the very thorough testing they did and texted me the results for. It basically included everything that could be done to my car and the status of everything. Shortly after sending me the test results, they called to confirm what services I'd like done that day. They took care of the urgent stuff, but it was still good to see the testing to know things like the life of my battery and brake pads. They were able to quickly fixed the urgent issues, the check engine light has gone away and I haven't had the problem since then. It was a little pricy, but I don't know much about cars, so I'm not really sure how their price compares with other shops. They were also very transparent about pricing when they called after doing the testing and before they really did any work on the car, which was nice. I also couldn't get in for an appointment for over a week, which was kind of annoying for me, but good for them that they were that busy.
I’ve went through Tolman’s multiple times for car repairs/oil changes and they’ve always been very helpful and also great customer service! I’ve had my radiator replaced, wheel bearing, back brakes, tires, a tire repaired from a nail, serpentine belt, etc. They’re always so quick to help me and they get me in and out in a fair amount of time. Very honest people work here. They’ve told me what repairs could wait and what ones are more urgent.
