Toll House Bed & Breakfast - Featured Reviews (68)
The place is amazing. My wife and I spent incredible night in Toll House. The hosts - Kay and Kevin are so welcoming and caring. And the breakfast served on a deck/patio that Kevin built himself is fantastic! I would definitely recommend whoever loves b&b’s and around in the area first the night to try it out. Interior is absolutely gorgeous with so much wood carving pieces of antique furniture in parlor you can actually have a sit on!
We have stayed at many, many B&Bs. The Toll House is a top contender with its beautifully restored decor, showcase gardens, and meticulous attention to detail. The room was comfortable and the shower was fabulous! Breakfast was something to write home about with fresh fruit, a pastry, and a hot homemade entrée. The best part of this B&B, however, are Kay and Kevin, the friendliest and most hospitable hosts we’ve met. It’s worth staying here just to meet them!
Kim and I spent four nights here. Kay and Kevin were outstanding host. Kay’s breakfast was amazing. Kevin told interesting and entertaining stories! The home and grounds are beautiful and welcoming!
We stayed in Manitowoc to visit family and spend a day at Door County. We never imagined that the B&B would become (other than seeing family) the experience that we loved the most about our visit. Kay and Kevin welcomed us into their home with so much warmth, laughter and friendship. Kay makes the most amazing breakfasts and Kevin and Kay were always there to greet us and start our day off with wonderful conversation. To say their home is beautiful is an understatement. The character of the home and its history is what you feel as you spend time there. When we sat in the parlor we imagined what it was like in the 1800's when the home was built. It took us back in time and it was so relaxing. We loved to hear Kay's stories of past families that have lived in the home. We were in awe of the restorations that they have done to their home in keeping with its uniqueness and its history. And when we left we knew we would be coming back to the Toll House B&B and that we had, in a very small way, also just become a part of the homes history.
We had such an amazing stay at the Toll House. The house is absolutely beautiful, the owners are so welcoming, and the breakfast was out of this world. Kay and Kevin, thank you so much for a memorable experience!!
Our first stay at the Toll House was incredible! I live in the area, and have always been interested in what the home is like. All across the board we were incredibly impressed! The hosts were kind, courteous & wonderful! Lots of beautiful history in this building, and the amenities were very comfortable. Best service we could have asked for.... 5 stars is not enough! The Breakfast was delicious and made us want to move in for good! :) We will be back, Thank You!
We drove from the Milwaukee suburbs and spent one evening here prior to the Manitowoc Maritime Marathon. Kay & Kevin were very hospitable and their home is just a beautiful tribute to days gone by, full of character. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and were just amazed at all of the attention to detail and small touches during our stay. The yard with the fountain and manicured gardens was also lovely. Kay was able to accommodate my husband's (very) early breakfast request prior to running the marathon. There are 3 rooms here and a carriage house next door for a larger group. Updated bathrooms, parking, clean and comfortable. Great location in Manitowoc, which is a charming city on Lake Michigan. We would definitely consider coming back and staying here!
Kay and Kevin are so hospitable and personable. Their B & B is full of gorgeous antique pieces and their restoration of this historic home is exquisite. They served an amazing breakfast that they presented artfully. Their attention to detail and purposeful choice for seasonal fresh fruit, a home baked coffee cake, and eggs Florentine for breakfast made exhausted parents feel like royalty during our time away from the kids. We will definitely be staying again! Thank you Kay and Kevin for everything you did to help us feel rejuvenated, and for making our hearts and bellies so blissfully full!
My daughter is truly enjoying classes at Lakeshore Tae Kwon Do. The leadership of Master Weber, Ms Cogswell, Ms Peltier & the other black belts that help the newer students & lower belts is top notch. You couldn't ask for a better group of role model
This is one of the best run CrossFit facilities we have visited, and we've worked out in CrossFit boxes all over the world! They have a great coaching staff- very knowledgeable and capable of scaling a WOD to any fitness level.
This was incredibly cool. Great experience going through and imagining life for those WW2 soldiers. Got to go through the deck and the main floor within the sub including torpedo rooms, sleeping quarters, engine rooms and dining areas. Kept my 3 kids
This is quite the spot for ice cream near Red Arrow Park and Red Arrow Beach. The friendly staffed allowed my wife and I to sample several delicious ice cream flavors. My wife had single scoop the WI Campfire Smores ( Graham flavored ice cream with
One of the best breweries I have visited this year. Friendly staff and a variety of beers. They have something for everyone here! My favorite here was the Gumbskull but The Superior was amazing too. Definitely drop by here if you are nearby.
What a hidden gem! We first heard about these gardens last year, and met up with family on a nice August day here. Itâs not a big area, but absolutely packed with gorgeous flower beds and manicured paths and breathtaking lakefront views. Itâs fre
