Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse - Japanese restaurant in McDonough - 100 Willow Ln #156, USA

Came here with my family for my birthday dinner and everything was pretty good. Server Juan was sweet and our chef was awesome. The chef helped my birthday end on a high note. I would come back and ask for my same cook as he had a good sense of humor. He kept the birthday lady happy! The 2 sushi rolls was good and I liked the flavor of the soup appetizer that comes with hibachi meals. Also loved the aesthetic of the restaurant. I’m a big lover of my house plants so to see so many plants was pretty awesome. And the purple lights were cool. The restroom was clean and equipped with a changing table, good hand soap at the sink and good water pressure for hand washing. The only things I didn’t like here was the sauce choices on the side. The yum yum sauce tasted like ginger dressing and the teriyaki sauce was extremely watery, so it didn’t coat the hibachi meats. Another downside was the signage outside. The sign being broken gave my family and I a bad first impression but it didn’t keep us from going in and trying the place out. This was my first time at this restaurant so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m glad I came and will definitely be back.

Excellent experience through and through! Bathrooms clean and intentional. Food delicious and great portions!! The most scallops I may have ever had at Hibachi. Chef was kind and generous and good with our toddler. Hostess was excellent and polite and caring. For people complaining about the auto tip, if you don’t have enough money to tip, you don’t have enough to go out. Wish we lived here bc we would be back often!

The waitress was in a rush and took my order wrong. I got the combination with Scallops and Filet Mignon but they charge me separately. I told the cook that I suppose to have Scallops and they charge me separately 9.95. Bad customer service, they should have honored the customer.

I’ve been here one other time and had the Atombic Bomb II sushi roll and IMMEDIATELY after I left my stomach was in shambles, initially i blamed it on me also drinking a couple cocktails with the sushi. I went back today and had the chicken hibachi and the tiger roll and AGAIN my stomach is in shambles lol. It has to be that the seafood isn’t fresh because I eat sushi all the time and never had this problem but always happens to me here. They also have a 18% gratuity change and a 3% credit card fee???? I was sitting alone at the bar…. 3/10 do not recommend

I have been placing orders for years and have never had problems vs how the business is ran today. I ordered 4 sushi rolls and specifically asked them for no eel and for baked salmon. Prior to picking up the food I asked the hostess to make sure it was right. I was told it was a 25 minute wait and when I arrived it wasn't ready for pick-up. All four rolls were cold- there was eel on the sushi and the salmon was smoked and not baked. I called to speak to the manager who said “she had to listen to her people” and they said they did it correctly as I was picking eel off… This is completely unacceptable and a waste of money! $52 dollars and this is the service you get. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

Came on a Monday night for my anniversary so maybe the vibe was better from previous experiences. The waiter was decent but loved the food and the hibachi chef. Food was really good not salty. Got the dinner for two 3 meats and both of us got soup and salad for $40. 😍

Chef was superb! Food was delish!

Our server could have done little better being it wasn't busy. Forgot hubby's drink twice but over all was a good place and will return. Sushi was great also
