Excellent spot for lunch and a cold one! Inside the old Historic Whitbey Mercantile Co building, the atmosphere is very unique and inviting. Lots of locals hanging out with many lively conversations happening at once. The Bar was crowded and loud, and the plates and glasses were coming out quickly. The energy here is awesome, and the food... satisfying! My beer was cold and my fries.. hot! Highly recommend for the experience and the locals inside! Cool place! Great food!
Always love this place! Every time we visit Coupeville, this is where we come. With that wait and always friendly staff. Best chowder and amazing fish and chips!
Stop here for some fresh mussels or chowder. Other menu options as well in a bar/restaurant atmosphere. Interesting history to the building as well. Very casual. Plenty of seating but could get pretty busy in season.
Man, I feel weird giving them a low rating. The meal I just had deserved 1 star, but I've had the mussels before, and they're amazing. The fries were good! The bacon on the burgers was those precooked strips, tartar straight from a bottle. Not a big deal, but disappointing for the price. Then there's the fish... Both soggy and undercooked batter, that just peeled off, with overcooked rubbery fish, and no seasoning. We ate it within 5 minutes of it coming out of the kitchen, it didn't sit around or anything. It was a bummer, we drove out of our way to come here, the staff was really friendly, but most of that fish went in the trash.
Delicious food and really polite and attentive staff and servers. There was a bit of a wait because went at lunch rush but we were seated as soon as they had a spot. Food was well worth the wait and priced very reasonably.
The service was lacking a little the guy we had was good at first and after dropping off our food never checked up on us. The girl was helping her tables better then the guy. When ready to check out we literally sat there while both of them walked by us several times and not once did either checked in on us. Food was cold, clams over cooked and the seafood chowder was more like a gravy soup no flavor and not a lot of vegetables. I had to go ask for a box and the bill. Took awhile to run our card. As a born and raised on Whidbey Islander who tries to support her local business this place needs some work. We might try it again next time and hopefully it's better
Ordered the mussels plus Ruben with fries The mussels were okay but not great, not worth the hype or the 45 minutes we waited to be seated, they use a whisky based sauce rather then white wine The Ruben sub par, lacking in meat and overly greasy. The fries you could have got anywhere, not good nor memorable Sadly the bottled rootbeer was the highlight I could recommend three places within ten miles that have better mussels, front street grill being one of them. Our favorite is seabolts in oak harbor.
Great food and such an awesome location. We had their lobster bisque which was fantastic and their haddock fish & chips. Only critique is the bread that came with the bisque was very greasy but highly recommend both dishes. Also try their red ale. Really good beer. I took off one star due to the service. The other comments about the waitresses resembling Carla were accurate.
This place is beautiful. If you like the outdoors this place is a must. -It has a camp site settled into a gorgeous spot in the woods. -There is drive up beach access. Panoramic ocean views and old forts to explore. -There are also running trails tha
Wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Beautiful sweeping views of the Olympic peninsula, calm waters, and sailing ships. Great place to explore the history of the place, climb up the lighthouse, and even see what it is like to live in the Lighthouse
Ebeyâs Landing Bluff Trail is a hidden gem for hikers and nature lovers. What really sets Ebey's Landing apart are the breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The combination of coastal bluffs, rolling fields, and historic
Delightfully impressive park! Saw it on the map while road tripping and stopped in and was a highlight of the trip. Placing the works amongst the forest provides a very striking and contrastive backdrop. The walk is easy to moderate and not long. Fel
We tried another restaurant here in Coupeville but they had a two hour wait at 5 pm (kudos to them!), so we back-tracked it here because we love Thai food. I was not disappointed. Spring rolls are a work of art, and the Pad Thai was delicious. Thanks
What a magical place to find history of this beautiful island. Love the way this little place is set up. Very interactive and children friendly. The staff are so friendly and they are very happy to answer any questions that you have. Can't wait to co
We fell into this place by accident and so glad we did. Three of us shared mussels with white wine sauce, shrimp, bread and fries. The flavors in each dish were exquisite and had their own distinct flavor profiles. I'm a fan of highly seasoned food a
I Go camping here often a nice place to relax. They have 3 portable bathrooms and camp sites are very spacious with trails to walk through out there park
Incredible atmosphere. Everyone was extremely nice and you can really enjoy the hotel and the property down to the little details. Sâmores at the fire for free, the staff can light up a fire outside on request, etc. The views are magnificent, spec
Awesome pizza!! The barbecue chicken one slaps if you enjoy a sweeter barbecue. The crust underneath is a thin cracker but still chewy type and the edges are fluffy and make it all come to together. The bread sticks also have an amazing taste and gre
