Always flattered by the food and service of this restaurant. Ordered veg noodles , filtered tea and coffee and dosa was so mouth watering. In the end we ordered almond halwa which was very yummy so I never fail to visit this restaurant everytime I visit great mall . A must visit and staff is friendly too.
An experience, I missed so much after moving to US!
Loved their meals served in banana leaves!
Wish they would do it every weekend instead of for special events only.
Their rawa dosa takes 25-30 mins and is very below average. I ordered onion rawa dosa and they made a plain rawa dosa, and threw cut onions on top (as pictured). On this same day, I was really sick returning from a long drive and called them when I was 15 mins away to place an order for the rawa dosa and told them I will be there for dine in within 15-20 mins. They refused to take my order & said they cannot help me and that I need to come in and order. When I spoke with the lady at the front desk regarding the matter, she came to my table and spoke very disrespectfully expecting an apology from me. Other restaurants in the bay area (like Komala Vilas) help their customers by taking orders few minutes ahead of time via phone even for dine in and don’t make a big deal out of it like this front desk lady did.
Poor quality dosas for the amount of time it takes for them to deliver to the table. The dosas are also much better at Komala Vilas and Madurai Modern Cafe.
Nice South Indian place in Milpitas. I tried their mini tiffin and it’s too good. The portion is fulfilling and loved the taste! There is no coffee to the mini tiffin but that did not disappoint me. Price is reasonable and service is good! I have heard the meals here is too good and I will definitely be here again to try and update the review. For now, worth a visit for their mini tiffin!
We went here to have Thali and were pleasantly surprised to have had such authentic flavours. There are two Thalis you can order : Spicy or Non Spicy both of which cost $15.99.
We had ordered 2 Spicy Thalis and Non Spicy Thalis each. The non spicy has yoghurt sambhar ( Mor Kolamb or Thair Kolamb ) which is far better than the one you get in Spicy Thali. That’s the only insignificant difference. Rest all the items are same.
Definitely recommended ✅

Lovvvvve this place. After much thought, my friend ordered a Spicy Thali and I ordered a Business Lunch as I was craving the different rice dishes offered with that. I liked the concept of Business Lunch as you could eat everything in the Thali with the spoon without getting your hands dirty. Great thinking!
The quantity was definitely a lot more than a normal meal but it was all so tasty so we ended up finishing it all. The veg biryani was spicy. The curries were really flavorful. A great surprise in Thali was moong daal with lauki. And the best part was waiting for less than 5 mins after ordering to get our Thalis.
I also had the buttermilk which was spicy and delicious!
Based on evening snack (cut mirchi) that I just picked up. Worst I ever had in Bay Area.
It’s not made with the right batter, right oil and right mix of salt. Over fried, burnt.
I regret that I even tipped them.
This is a standard south Indian restaurant. Food is tasty. Prices have gone up considerably. As it is with every other restaurant. They have kept their quality standards up for the most part.
