We ate while in Delaware. The food was good and our sever was Tamara and she was Great. We will eat here again next time we are in town.
12/18/23 update: Great service again, okay good this time but they were definitely packed and not expecting the crowd they had. Loved the Christmas decorations and themed drinks and food. 10/13/23 review update: Service was absolutely fantastic and I was super happy to learn that you can order a lunch sized salad. Their spinach salad is my favorite and had a great cilantro dressing. They have some fall themed cocktails that are delicious. Old review: Good food, particularly their crab dip, and okay service. Often loud and full of college kids though.
I’ve visited and ordered from here a lot over the years.. Food is decent, most of the wait staff is horrible and somehow gets worse each time. Called in an order on 12/16 to a completely clueless hostess on the phone. Wasn’t given an estimated time because of a “busy kitchen” so I gave them 30 minutes with the understanding it was a Saturday night. When I got there, the hostess had never put the order in at all. Had to interrupt a conversation between 4 host/wait staff to even find that out and there was at least 10 staff hanging around with maybe 12 total people eating in. Ended up waiting an hour for a subpar to-go meal that I paid full price for. Pretty sure they expected a tip too. I would have liked to speak to someone in management but I’m sure one wasn’t around or they were maybe asleep somewhere. Every time I order it’s a new bad experience. Typically don’t make negative reviews and I try to be understanding but this place has gone massively downhill. Maybe replace the staff with actual adults.
We're regulars here...and I've been supporting this business for years. I've eaten in and gotten take out countless times. I've rented/hosted numerous parties upstairs. I'm spent thousands at this place. Quite literally. All this to say, I have skin in the game. I want this business to succeed. I ask the owners and managers to take the following to heart: I visited Timothy's of Newark on September 19th, with my son, around 8:30-8:45PM. We both ordered to-go our usual: two bacon cheeseburgers with cheddar cheese and loaded "cheese fries" as our side. To complement our meal, I also requested sides of blue cheese, horsey ranch, and pickles, all which I paid extra for (see pic). When I arrived, I found our order sitting on a table, but there was no one around to acknowledge me, or take payment. Eventually, a staff member came over, and when I inquired about the contents of the bag and if the side items I requested were in it, she was uncertain. I decided to double-check and, as expected, the side items were not in the bag, and the cheese was missing from the cheese fries. (This happens quite often, which is why I'm finally writing a review...) After my inquiry, she went to the back and returned with two sides of blue cheese and one side of horsey, mentioning that they only had one horsey left. (Huh?) I accepted that, but I still pointed out that my cheese fries were missing the cheese. She returned to the kitchen and came back with two small containers of dipping cheese, but this wasn't what I had ordered. I usually get the loaded cheese fries. Despite explaining this, there seemed to be confusion, and I asked to speak to a Manager. Unfortunately, there was no Manager on site at the time. With my food getting cold, my son waiting in the car, and my exhaustion from a long day, I left my contact number with the staff member and requested that the Manager call me, to address the situation. When the Manager called me, she inquired why I hadn't asked for a Manager while I was at the restaurant. I explained that I did request to speak to a Manager, but it was taking quite a while, my son had just finished football practice, I had worked all day, my food was getting cold, and I was exhausted... She expressed understanding, and I proceeded to detail the entire situation, including the initial mix-up and the subsequent confusion. However, the Manager began offering excuses, mentioning their short staffing issues, difficulty in finding good employees, and constant turnover. She even mentioned that the girl who served me "was only 16 years old," among other reasons. I empathized with these challenges, as I'm a business owner myself, but emphasized that there should be better training, coaching, accountability and leadership in place to handle such situations effectively. I reassured the Manager that I had no intention of getting anyone in trouble, causing job losses, or wanting anyone to face repercussions. Nor did I request any compensation for any of this. All I wanted was to have a better experience and get what I pay for, especially since I'm a regular customer of the restaurant. Unfortunately, though she did apologize and say she wants me to keep returning, she also gave excuses and wanted to "defend" the 16 year old, rather than taking full responsibility for the situation. I ask the owners to read this and take it to heart. You should "want" your customers. Sadly I feel unwanted, like a nag to the employees, and like I was a nuisance to the manager. I'm not sure if it's worth returning.
Haven’t been in Timothy‘s for about 20 years. we used to go there all the time for lunch from work. Back then Timothy‘s was the place to go great food great service. I went there this past weekend my godson had his wedding reception there. 20 years later the staff is still exceptional the food was exceptional the atmosphere was great. Since this was a late morning reception what was unique about this was the had a breakfast buffet which was pretty cool. They had a fruit bowl chip beef gravy pancakes sausage links scrambled eggs fried potatoes. On the one side wall they had the buffet table was from kinda nice because when you look out the windows you saw the beautiful creek I’m streaming down on the side of the building. We were on the second floor for the reception and downstairs was the restaurant itself again I said it for 20 years later everything was really nice beautiful and I know my godson and his wife really enjoyed everything was going on that day. If I could Great more than five stars on this restaurant I would. definitely check the restaurant out.
I just discovered the best wings in the state. Timothy's seems to understand oil temp and time, a tasty sauce I recommend on the side and a no-nonsense bartender who's on her game. My only complaint is parking. BTW, their college football specials are insanely cheap.
We had a birthday party upstairs. Ran smoothly..exceptional service and staff
Attended a baby shower on the second floor of restaurant. Fantastic buffet food, clean and soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies. Beautiful space for a special occasion with a sports bar on first floor.

Great restaurant! Service was friendly and quick. Good quality and taste were great! The only thing that could have been improved was that the appetizer came out at the same time as the meal. Otherwise, great experience and definitely looking forward
The park is set back far enough on a side road that unless you know it's there you would never know it's there. The walking/ biking trail is gorgeous. The creek that runs through it makes for a very peaceful hike. If you look close enough you can see

Great place to explore especially with children. I was amazed to see how well the animals are preserved. Lots of iron out there. ð Such a memorable experience. The children had a great time.
We attended a semi-formal church function at Deerfield one evening. It's a nice clean place. Well decorated. Good catering staff. Food was good but they didn't serve the million dollar bacon I've been hearing so much about. Seems to be a popular wedd
