Timmer's Resort - American restaurant in West Bend - 5151 Timmer Bay Rd, USA

On December 16th, we came to Timmer's to celebrate the holiday with friends. We heavily enjoyed ourselves with drinks entrees and even after dinner drinks. I convinced my stepmom I'd bring her a scallops dinner since my husband's look so good, so we took a dinner home. Next day, we opened the bag the dinner was placed in and, to our deep hearted disappointment, her dinner was/is no where near the level of satisfaction that was my husband's; very lacking in quantity/quality. (see compared pics; tried my best.) I'm not a big complainer but the fact that I'm disappointing a family member, who can't get out of the house as she is a caretaker for my dad, just really really breaks my heart. I basically wrote this exact same thing to Timmer's in an email on December 17th and no response back to make things right. It's so sad I have to inform everyone I know of this entire experience. Maybe they get out of this story - NOT to spend their money and order take home from them; I guess, to each their own.

I really do like this place. Love the atmosphere. Service is always great. But the Friday night my husband and I went, they were having issues with the cornflake crust being too salty, and it took a while to get my dinner, which isn't an issue. The issue was when I got my fish fry, it was still REALLY salty. I'll still be back. The flourless chocolate cake my husband and I shared made up for it a bit.

We’ve been coming here for 10+ years and never had one bad fish fry, but tonight it was extremely salty; Disgustingly salty. The coleslaw used to be much better along with the potatoes. Waitress was not pleasant. When we ordered the sorbet, she was very adamant they did not have it. She did not make an effort to check, and was just borderline rude. We asked the manager and HE brought it out to us. After that the waitress completely ignored our table purposely. Sadly, it looks like this was the last time we will ever go there.

We made reservations for 5pm and arrived about 4:45 so we could grab a drink. Upon arrival, the hostess shared it would be about 15 minutes and handed us a pager. It was our first time visiting Timmers and we weren't sure where the bar was but we made our way. We were seated around 5:15 which wasn't a problem. We ordered within 10 minutes of being seated and the dining room filled up quickly. The food arrived about 30 minutes later. I ordered the ginger soy glazed salmon ($30) which was delicious but the vegetables were undercooked and the temperature of the food was warm, not hot. My husband ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich ($19) with French fries. Unfortunately, the sandwich was very dry and his fries were cool as if they had been sitting for a while.

Delightful first time at Timmer’s. The restaurant is lovely, with quintessential country resort ambiance. The warmth and welcome of Mark, our host and the general manager, impressed us from the moment we arrived. Our waitress Victoria exuded the same warmth and friendliness, and she demonstrated the skill and professionalism one hopes to see in fine restaurant service. Everything was delicious and well paced. Cocktails, calamari, walleye, and pork chop all excellent. Strawberry schaum torte dessert was exceptional and reminiscent of fine dining of the past. Mark and Victoria both looked after us the entire time. This level of personalized service is not easily found and made for an unexpectedly wonderful experience. We will be back.

Had a great ribeye entrée with mashed potatoes and zucchini blend vegetables. Everything was cooked and tasted excellent.

Timmers use to be outstanding restaurant. Within the last year, quantity had started to suffer smaller portion size. food was not cooked as ordered, We ordered our steak rare and it came well done and cold (still trying to figure that out). It still has a wonderful Atmosphere

Went alone, it was the 1st place my wife and I went to on anniversary when we moved here. I like the cozy little room in this world, it's out here but great food, service, and people. My wife died recently so I went alone, I almost brought someone here on 28th anniversary but decided it was my wife and my spot, thanks for the great time Timmers.
