Tiffany Inn Bed & Breakfast - Featured Reviews (20)
I grew up in the area and was coming home for a visit with family. We wanted to stay at a place that had some Alton vibes and was surprised to find so few places. Then ... we stumbled across Tiffany's Inn. We decided to take a chance and could not have been happier. When we called ... Lynne answered the phone, got us booked, and ensured our stay was spot on the whole time. This is not your "typical" hotel (if that's what you're looking for). However, if you're looking for the Alton "vibes" .. this is it (from the vintage decor, to the historical books, to the "garden" backyard with Adirondack chairs you can sit in overlooking the bridge and river. And ... LOCATION! Looking for a brewery ... right across the street (Old Bakery). Looking to Antique ... again, right across the street. Looking for a local coffee shop ... walk up to Post Commons (used to be ole Post Office). Looking for local shops, right next door (Mississippi Mud Pottery). Looking for a local lunch spot ... again, right next door (Brown Bag Bistro). Finally .... looking for a weekend "to do", the Farmer's Market (Huge) .. just across the street. Okay ... one more, the Conservatory is right down the road for a late night cocktail (you'll love the local art on the walls). My wife wanted me to mention the comfy bed and the awesome shower. : ) Appreciate the hospitality, Lynne ... we'll definably be back.
My wife and I stayed there for our 9th Wedding Anniversary and took the glass lessons. Wonderful time and Lynn was great. Highly Recommended. What a wonderful spot tucked away on Broadway down-town Alton.
We love to stay here on our anniversary and have thoroughly enjoyed our visits everytime!
The room accommodations are very thoughtful and have always exceeded our needs. The atmosphere is classic, comfortable, and cozy.
The garden out back is amazing, especially for any art lovers, and makes you feel like you have your very own little hideaway; perfect for any romantic getaway!
The main floor provides an art studio, several of the owner Lynn's personal works, dining, and an array of drinks including everything from wine to craft beers, to fine coffees and teas.
On our last visit Lynn was even gracious enough to take on a custom stained glass project for us! She was incredibly attentive to our needs, and we were so impressed with how she was able to fit our personal style and preference into the piece.
The real gem here is Lynn, you can tell she has poured her heart and soul into providing a truly unique experience, one that is rare, and hard to find nowadays. When we are here we feel like we are treated like family. We were even reluctant to write this review because we'd love to keep this place all to ourselves! We highly suggest a visit and guarantee it will impress!
This place is truly a hidden gem. Nice clean rooms with style right in the middle of town and you can walk to anyplace you want to go. Awesome courtyard in the back where we chilled each night. This is where we'll be staying when we're in Alton from now on. Also super nice owner.
We absolutely loved it here and not just because we had the place to ourselves .
The garden area was probably our favorite, shades of New Orleans for sure.
The owner is very nice and accommodating and has the cutest 4.5 lb dog you'll ever meet.
We were a brief overnight stay but the room was great and the owner very accommodating. The main shared space was also very nice with the additional private garden. This is a hidden gem 💎
My wife and I stayed at the Tiffany Inn for a couple days and were really impressed with the warm and cozy feeling, especially since we had the place to ourselves. We chose the Renoir room for our stay and it fit our accommodations very well. Lynne was very nice and her stained glass shop downstairs was amazing, so much great work. She also had a great selection of wine and craft beer, if that's your thing.
Stayed one night here with some friends. It was quite a delightful surprise! The owner has taken great care to make it a great experience and has thought of everything you might need. She even started a nice fire while we were gone for dinner in the back for us to sit around. Highly recommend it!

It's a lot bigger on the inside then I had expected. My friend and I went there on my weekend we've been trying to eat there but the timings never worked out till last Thursday. We had a wonderful waitress, my friend ordered a small pizza which wa

Really cool and informative tour of the lock. You are able to go all the way out to the middle and look out over the Mississippi. The museum itself is also very neat and interactive, great for families with children.
The best qualities of old-time luncheon places, with the friendliest staff and the freshest of food. And SOOO much food. The servers never let your drink run dry and always make sure you feel valued and a member of the family. Loved it, and loved the
