The State of New Hampshire has a short stretch of coastline, but Hampton Beach offers everything that summer visitors love about the ocean in one vacation destination. In Hampton Beach, you will enjoy a pristine stretch of beach that was recently named one of four “Superstar” beaches in the United States, due to perfect water quality testing results for three consecutive years.

Tidewater Campground - Featured Reviews (359)
We stayed here because of a wedding close by on beach. I have never felt so unwelcome at a campground. We had 5 sites and 6 kids. We were told to quite down at 10.01pm. No one near our sites, kids were playing cards and laughing. We were told to slow down after going 5mph!! We could not even touch gas peddle!! Never camping here again!! The campground where fun goes to die!!!!!!
We were loyal customers for three seasons. However when we had a family emergency,
The campground was not kind or empathic in any way. Instead they decided to charge for time we were not there despite our notifications to the campground and still staying more than the required 3 nights. Many of said how bad the management is, now I have to agree with all the one star reviews. They have lost our business.
Location from the boardwalk and beach is about 3 miles. Easy to get to and from. Luckily for us we spent all day and most of evening out from campground otherwise it would have been a miserable trip. Day 1 my 6 year old got spoken to for accidentally splashing a woman at the pool. Neither of my kids wanted to go back to the pool because they felt like they couldn't play. It is very obvious they only want seasonals and campers without children. We saw no kids playing on the playground and mine were afraid to go because they didn't want to get yelled at. Fires are supposed to be out at 11 and good luck to you if your stuck waiting for it to burn out. Speed limit signs say strictly enforced and they aren't kidding. We were going 5pm driving in and got yelled at from the office. Saw it happen to others also. They aren't friendly. It felt like they were waiting for us to do something wrong. The site itself was super narrow. Next to our camper there was no space for the fire pit so it was almost on the street. We will not be coming back here. This is not a family campground.
Park should be advertised for what it is...a seasonal adult (mostly senior)campground. Vacationing campers made to feel very unwelcome especially if you have children.
Speed limit of 3!!strongly enforced. We were threatened with"parking our truck for the rest of stay" for being "caught" doing approximately 7-8. I certainly understand quiet time but sitting around campfire at 10:05 talking in normal voices and told to quiet down is a bit ridiculous. Maybe it was grandkids playing cards at picnic table!!
We stayed a week and had excellent space. Owner runs the place with iron hand which is both good and bad. Restrooms and showers are excellent as well as pool. Reasonably priced as campgrounds go in the area. Spaces in the woods are dark and stay wet if it rains. We were on edge of field so none of those issues. Lots of families and lots of seasonal spots
Spent one night while traveling. Due to the way the roads intersect where the turn in is located we had trouble several times trying to get into the campground. The staff was nice. Had to purchase a $10 (refundable) key card to access the campground. Most spots were tightly packed. Lots of trees in the area we were assigned. Lots of signage about speed limit being "walking". Quite area. Saw several wild turkey in the park.
Really liked this camping! the lady at the front desk was really nice, friendly and available. the camping is a 9 minutes drive from the beach but it's really easy to get there. The public areas were really clean. showers were 0.25$/3 minutes. On our campground there was electricity and wifi that really worked great. The only negative thing I have to say is that the running water you're supposed to use for drinking and cooking taste a lot like chlorine, this the point where our pastas tasted like chlorine. If I were to go there again, i'd probably bring my own water. Besides that, I recommend this camping !
This was the best thing we did on vacation this summer. We went in early September and had a one on one with Ellen. She was fabulous and so so so knowledgeable. My partner and I were so incredibly impressed with all the up close animal interactions,
