The apartment we stayed in was absolutely amazing . The views over the gulf were outstanding and did not disappoint. It was very luxurious, the beds were comfortable and the host was helpful. She answered all our questions and was always at the end of an email . We did find the staff at the hotel a little unresponsive at times but this didn't make our stay any less exciting. It was a great stop gap as we travelled from Tampa to new Orleans. The beach was beautiful and the pools are a good size ,one gets the sun in the morning and the other in the afternoon. We were told that the lifts were slow but to be honest it was not as bad as we expected and you just have to have a little patience. The lifts are actually fast when it's not so busy.

My family and I have been staying at Tidewater for the past 5 years for our vacations. Overall, we've always had a wonderful time. Minor issues from year to year, like elevator wait, ice machines in the room usually not working. But the views from the balconies are top-notch. Get down to the beach early to claim your spot.

The condo room was awesome!! The elevator situation is a nightmare!! We definitely won't stay here again. If they would leave the elevator alone and not put the attendance in them and if they had a service elevator for the cleaning folks it would be much better but for some reason they can't figure this out. A guy told my wife he stayed here 10 years ago and the elevator situation was the same!!

I want to warn anyone who is considering staying here to be aware of the horrific elevator situation. You will need to plan at least 45 minutes to an hour extra to reach your destination. God forbid you needed to get somewhere in a hurry. If you’re willing to sacrifice hours of your vacation waiting on elevators you’ll be fine. Keep in mind after returning from the grocery with perishable items you will have to wait in a very hot area until an elevator arrives. I personally will not stay here again. Not to mention the staff is not friendly at all!! Not a good experience!

Great location! The staff runs the elevators from 9 am - 7 pm and the only thing they are concerned about is getting people in. If you are not on a floor that they are dropping off on, you're left waiting. On average, we waited 45 minutes, during these times. Before and after those times our average wait was 5-10 minutes.

if your looking for a great vacation experience take the time to read because this is not the place to stay! to start off each unit is separately owned so forget early check in. the front desk staff will say you can and let you unload all your stuff just to get to your door and your key card don’t work. so you have to load all your stuff back into your car to wait till check in time. front desk staff is extremely unhelpful and even look annoyed when you ask for assistance. So I’m not really sure what their job responsibilities are so do not turn there for help! We paid good money for a Relaxing beach vacation and it’s been complete stress since we arrived. There are 30 floors here and only one set of working elevators, so don’t expect to get anywhere fast. Might as well bring a beach chair and cold beverage for the 20 min wait for the elevator. our unit was still in the process of being “cleaned“ when we arrived, but when I went to get in bed there was hair and sand still in the bed. So the sheets were never changed from the previous guest. The ceiling in the master shower leaks and the garden tub doesn’t turn off. all issues were brought to a blonde lady at the front desk who all but rolled her eyes when issues were brought to her attention because ”there’s nothing she can do” the only thing nice about this place is the view and there are plenty more condos Up and down the beach to stay at. Don’t waist your money here!

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location and the kindness of the staff. The rooms are clearly not deep cleaned in-between stays. I could write a book but I just came to say that the employees deserve a raise for their kindness but not so much the housekeepers.

Before arriving here I read the comments about the elevator and thought people were just exaggerating, they weren’t. It sometimes takes 25 mins for the elevator to get to our floor and they were always crowded. There is also no AC in the elevator so you’re pretty much hovering everyone’s funk. As for the condo I stood in it was nice, very nice view. Although we did make coffee and noticed they are pieces of glass around the coffee maker. Master bedroom was very hot.
