Thunderchief Inn - Featured Reviews (71)
This motel is worst. This is very hot at night in July. Only fan no AC. Bad smiling. Our walker light directly to the window and can be off during the night and the light directly to the room. We cannot open the curtain. I had a bad experience of this motel. Don’t try it.
Good news: ThunderChief Inn is in a convenient location.
Now the bad news: the room is from the 1990’s, the carpet stinks you can smell something is off when you walk In. There is no AC, the shower pressure if so low you can barely shower, the parking lot was empty maybe 3 cars at most and the lady that runs the place comes knocks on my door and forces me to move my car from where I parked which is infront of my window. I have tools that can be stolen in my car so I need it in my view. Anyways she doesn’t care and forces me to move anyways. For the $250 I spent here these last couple days I would’ve been better off staying in my car. I don’t recommend you to stay here they do not care about making you feel at home or anything you can tell by the 90’s furniture. This place should be closed down and remodeled or just closed permanently
Positive: Location is good. Negative: No air conditioning was bad enough but there were cockroaches in the room. COCKROACHES!! I asked for a refund because of the bugs and was told by the owner that I was out of luck, I had paid online so there was nothing I could do. She was so rude!
I was charged $160, ($193 after tax), for 8 hours because I needed to check in after midnight. They said I had to pay for two nights. But I was not able to stay an additional night. I stayed exactly 8 hours. The rates posted online said it should cost $56. Even if that was with a 44% discount, I still got overcharged. The bed was awful and sleep was difficult. There is no AC and the room had broken lamp shades, a shower door that wouldn't close and the cleaning had been poor. The windows had all been left open and it was still sweltering. Seems to be run by a married couple who only argued with me when I tried to resolve being overcharged. I would sleep in your car before staying here. I don't typically post reviews, but that was a nightmare.
We reserved it for $139, but when we arrived, we paid $150 because of “taxes.”
The room had an old appearance… they should put a little more effort in the cleaning process… but for one night it was okay. The only advantage is that it is close to many little stores and restaurants.
Inn is walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, and the strip (within a 10 minute walk). This was very convenient! Hotel room was clean for the most part. Beds were made and clean. We got clean towels. There were no trash in the room. However, floor was dirty and sticky. My party wore sandals the entire stay because the floor was so sticky. The bathroom was very tiny espcially the shower. The shower door was broken and hard to close. There was no A.C. but two fans were provided. However, even with the fans on and the windows opened, the room was hot and humid (Outside was cool and breezy). One of the three lamps provided worked. Lastly, we paid $300+ for a room with three queen size beds. The quality of the inn was definitely not worth $300+, except for the location.
Rude / Customer service horrible and every sheet in the two rooms we rented with a total of 4 beds were stained with blood and pee. My kids were so disgusted they slept in their clothes and they had no extra blankets available for us to use to lay on vs the stained sheets. The only plus is that my husband and I probably had the only clean sheet in the entire hotel. They offered no discount but told my children we will give you your money back in full go somewhere else and don’t post a bad review. They replied saying we can’t leave our parents are here and they paid. The location was the best thing about the place
Positive: The bathrooms are so DIRTY I did not even wanted to walk on there. Negative: Bed was very Uncomfortable to sleep basically nothing GOOD except location
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
