If I could give a zero, I would. We showed up to the hotel. I had paid for 2 rooms. They had 1 ready. The second room that was not ready. It took 2 hours to cool off to an acceptable temperature. This was during the heat wave. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The TV was broken for it pointed at the ground. This room was not worth the money. After we checked out, I received a $100 charge. They said it was for a damaged towel and pillow case. I am still waiting for them to mail the damaged products to me. If I'm paying for them, I want them.
Update: They called me to tell me they would refund the money and it would take a week. It's been over a week and I still have not seen the refund.
We’re traveling from Colorado Springs and we’re exhausted. Searched everywhere and everything was crazy expensive because of it being a weekend. Then we found this motel about 1.5 hrs past the place we were going to make our first stop. The gentleman at the counter (owner?) was so sweet and funny that he made some of our exhaustion disappear. He gave us what we requested which is a first floor room. |The bed was really comfortable, pillows a little lumpy but not a huge thing. I had my own and my husband wanted to try them out. The room was immaculate! I felt comfortable and was able to sleep. |The breakfast was great. This was way better than any large chain hotel. We usually stay at Hilton but I’m glad I stayed. Positive: The staff was very accommodating and friendly. the owner walked the parking lot making sure everything was ok., They also put us all in the same building so we were close to each other. Negative: parking was difficult if you had a big truck.

The front desk clerk was extremely rude during check-in. He made strange comments about my bank, how much I paid for the room, and made me feel very uncomfortable. The room was not clean. The windows were broken and had no locking mechanism. Someone could have easily broken into our room. The carpet and walls were filthy. If you can’t tell from the pics, our room was a much more run-down version of the ones advertised. I couldn’t sleep there. If you’re not from around Elko, you wouldn’t know this place is not in a good area. Keep driving on to the next town.
If the place had merely been disgusting and filthy (as can be expected from roadside motels), we wouldn’t have minded. But the service was absolutely horrendous. The person at reception had one of the worst and unhelpful attitudes I’ve ever encountered. For example, when asked if we could have an extra pillow, his response was “do I look like housekeeping to you?”
And, the rooms were truly filthy. It looked like the room door had been battered in by a police battering ram at one point. There was hair all over. Stains on the linens and curtains. Dust, mold, marks on the walls. Sticky TV remote. I would NEVER stay here again and would definitely recommend avoiding it unless absolutely necessary!
Booked based on reviews; did not end up staying. Non-smoking room had strong stench and cigarette burns in bedspread and dust ruffle. Moved us to another room that had stains/drips of ? on walls and tables and a funky smell. Both rooms the carpet was very dirty. Paid for the room through Hotels.com and the pet deposit upon arrival; when we told them we would not be staying due to the lack of cleanliness we asked for a receipt; they did not want to give us one nor did they refund our pet deposit. Lesson learned. The attitude of front desk staff was pretty disappointing; blaming the mine/oil workers for sometimes smoking in the rooms…deep clean and check before you offer to next guest. Book elsewhere.
Decent little motel when everything is booked for mining expo. Clean room, walk to Star Hotel for diner. Beds are not great, but workable. Street noise not too bad. Breakfast was minimum, coffee was out. If you are struggling to find a spot this might do for a night.
