Thousand Trails Turtle Beach - Campground in Manteca - 703 Williamson Rd, USA

Have lived in Stockton for over 30 years and never been here. Great place to get away and camp. The tent sites are so close to the river. Tons of beach area for our grandkids to play in. The water is shallow and was so warm when we visited. Loved it! Will definitely be back for a longer stay!!

All the staff were so helpful and polite. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The campgrounds were very quiet. We will be camping here again in the future. The beach was nice and sandy.

Since this campground just recently reopened, I decided to become a member again. I had not renewed my previous membership because this campground had been closed for a significant period of time due to flooding. This was the only campground I frequented during my membership, because of the high gas prices in California and also that I live nearby. Yesterday, I stopped by to check out the condition of the campground for future use. I spoke to Ranger Pam, who was very professional and friendly. I was very happy to learn that Ranger Lyra was back at this campground. Thousand Trails is very lucky to employ both of these individuals. When I toured the campground, I was very disappointed to see that an area that was once a very nice beach area, was now covered with a tall weed growth. Honestly, I do not know why this campground would be reopened in this condition. In my opinion, the beach area, was a major feature to be enjoyed by the patrons. It was great for relaxing in the sun, fishing, having a picnic, and taking a cooling dip in the river. I also noticed that there was a closed barricade in front of the boat ramp. The water level looked like it was high enough to launch? I do not know why.|In summary, I do not know what it would take to restore the campground to it's previous condition, or actually to make it better than it was. My intent is to make corporate aware of my disappointment, to make members aware of my take on the condition of the campground, and to again, mention that Ranger Pam and Ranger Lyra are awesome.

Park is nice People are nice and helpful. Staff is shorthanded Mike in maintenance runs none stop To bad Thousand Trails is only interested in money and not their employees . Lyra and Pam are always on the go four people have their hand full

I have finally decided what is so special about Turtle Beach campground; the staff! Debora, Lira, Pam, and Mike. Debora keeps the camp running efficiently; Lira solves any reservation problems or adjustments with more vigor then anyone would expect; Pam is the ultimate ranger with a never ending smile who finds ways to accommodate every camper, and Mike keeps the camp maintained as if it his own. Yes, I have to say in our nine years of camping throughout the US and Canada, we have yet to find a more comfortable campground with the most accommodating personnel.

Love this place! Close to home and feels like you’re a million miles away. It’s always hard to get full hook ups but we are weekend warriors and they have a dump station onsite. Love they have done a lot of clean up in the past couple years . Place was really turning around. Nice little beach area as well. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Hope fully they can recover from the flood. We have reservations in May about a month away. Fingers crossed.

Turtle beach is really nice place, located in a green area with river around. Unfortunately, it is also close to a highway, and during the night we could hear truck’s horn. The staff was nice and helpful for our late check in.

Staff were very attentive! Quiet park. Nice private combined restrooms/showers. Ice on hand during the day if need to purchase. Nice office area.
