If you are ever in #lexingtonky find Thoroughbred Restaurant. It's amazing. I have had many Hot Browns including the one at The Brown Hotel and this one hands down is the BEST!!!! My son loved the fish and chips also.

This was our first experience at Thoroughbreds and it was amazing! We drove about 75 miles to go try out their Hot Brown and I have to say they definitely did not disappoint. The service food and atmosphere was all definitely worth the drive. We will absolutely be visiting again here real soon!

A group of 10 went from work, was not a problem. Food was great. Service was fantastic. Atmosphere was that of an older bar, and was really nice.everything was super fresh. I had the open roast beef sandwich. The desert was to die for, fantastic strawberry Cheesecake. Planing to take the family there this Friday...

This place is like a “Cheers” of Lexington! Everybody seems to know each other and everybody is friendly. Service was excellent and food was spot on! Smitty melt was great, onion rings even better and the banana pudding was the best!! Definitely a neat local pub!! Cheers!

My dad and I ate at Thoroughbred Restaurant for the second time ever and just like the first visit, it did not disappoint. The Smitty's Meatloaf and the fried Grouper were excellent. I told my dad that it might've been the best fish dinner I've ever had. The sides were good but that Jambalaya is really tasty.

I’m not gonna lie, when my husband and I pulled up and saw the outside of this place, we were a little concerned. LOL! But thank the Lord we followed through and went in because it was the best “home cooked” style meal I think we have ever had. Hours later we were still talking about it. YOU MUST GO!!!!! So many options and unbelievable food!!!!! My husband got the fried grouper with baked beans and jambalaya. I ordered the creole shrimp jambalaya with a baked potato. There are no words to describe how good both of our meals were. I will never come to Lexington and not go to The Thoroughbred.

Visiting this area from Pennsylvania. Stopped in for lunch. It's a amazing place. Staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Good bourbon selection.

When I think of a restaurant rated this high, I think of some of the best restaurants in Cincinnati I’ve been to. So I came in with pretty high standards. Atmosphere was what I expected from the pictures- a hole in the wall pub situation. Seated ourselves but that wasn’t entirely clear at first upon entering. Then service was like bar tenders who double as waiters. Sometimes was hard to see one for awhile. The fried banana peppers were great. The rest of everything was decent. My meatloaf probably could have cooked a little longer. Folks were nice enough. Comfortable environment. Service a little slow. As someone from out of town, I wouldn’t particularly go back for here. I’d give it a 3.75 if I could.
