My husband and I spent three nights in this beautiful Inn. The victorian decor and antiques throughout were lovely. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and was served on a beautifully set table. My favorite though, was the French toast with blueberry topping. It was unbelievable good. Andrew, the host, as well as all the associates were friendly, helpful and accomodating. The Inn is centrally located in the historic area and within walking distance of everything. The only time we used our car was when we went to Acadia National Park. Our only complaint was the overly firm mattress, which is usually just a matter of preference, so I did not want to reduce the rating for that reason. Overall, we were extremely pleased.

Having stayed at other B&Bs, I would rate this one average. Although very clean, (which is most important) some sprucing up was needed (e.g., chipping paint on the woodwork inside and outside, lawn maintenance). ||Breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.||While they did offer wine and cheese for an hour in the late afternoon, water and other refreshments were not available in your room or in the common area for guests coming in and out throughout the day or returning in the evening.

This place is very nice. We had wine and cheese in the afternoon and a delicious breakfast in the morning. I love the decor and all the antiques. The owner was so nice and accommodating. He was very helpful with suggestions on things to do and not do. I highly recommend it.

Four of us stayed for 4 nights at THI and had a wonderful stay with easy walking distance to downtown. Andrew was a superb host--kind and welcoming, with lots of helpful tips and advice. Rooms were scrupulously clean, with everyday service--something one rarely sees now. And the food!!! Delicious breakfasts that kept us full until dinner. Would definitely stay, again.

Love everything about this Inn! Andy and his entire staff help to make your stay feel like home. Walking distance to town, plenty of free parking and an awesome breakfast to start your day. Highly recommended

The Inn is lovely. The Innkeeper, Andrew, always makes sure every feels at home. The breakfasts are to die for: filling, but not stuffing and always cooked to perfection and served attractively. The conversation at breakfast is always lively and a great way to share what everyone has been doing. The wine and cheese receptions in the afternoon are another way he brings the guests together. It is in a great location. Walking distance to everything, but not in the center of town. We've been going there for three years and it's always been a unique experience.

We stayed in Bar Harbor back in 2021 and it was our first real stay at a bed and breakfast style inn. Thornhedge Inn was an absolutely fantastic first experience. Since our stay was in 2021 a lot of covid protocols were still in place, so we didn’t get to eat in the dining room, but we did get freshly made breakfast sandwiches that we were able to pick up each morning and take back to our room to eat. The innkeeper was very kind and we would love to go back someday! Highly recommend.

This was an excellent place to stay. The location couldn’t have been better. We left the car parked and walked everywhere in town. Our room was spacious and comfortable (Blair Eyrie). Breakfast was delicious.|Andrew was a great host and has a wealth of information about the area.

Very homey and comfortable with a great breakfast. Stayed three nights and had a different breakfast each day. They have a hot water machine in the dining room and a comfortable living room to hang out in. Parking was large enough for a large jeep.
