Thornewood Castle is the absolute epitome of wedding perfection! Working with them was a dream – they were not just easy but a delight throughout the entire process. Our wedding day was an enchanting masterpiece, and the venue’s beauty added an ethereal touch to every moment. From answering our every question to ensuring the day ran like a well-oiled machine, the Thornewood team was nothing short of fantastic. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more stunning, seamless, and joy-filled day. Thornewood Castle, you made our wedding dreams a reality, and we’re forever grateful!

This castle is incredible! All the building and decors are amazing. Usable space for visitors are also really generous, like game room and reading room. I took some lovely photos. They have all stuff of luxurious hotels have, like mini bar, snacks and so on.

Stayed at the castle for a wedding and it was amazing! To me, photos online of the rooms and suites did NOT do them justice. Our 2 bedroom suite was ready a couple hours early and they texted to let us know! Check-in was easy and the lodging staff was very nice. The grounds are beautiful and the wedding ceremony and reception were great. Some of the food and beverage employees were a little rude and snippy, but I imagine they probably go through a lot. It was so cool to have a literal key to the castle to explore!

My wife and came back for our five year anniversary. We were married at the castle. It was comfortable and very cool. It was quiet, comfortable and really nice place to stay. The castle and the grounds are absolutely beautiful.

This place is SO cool. I felt like we were transported to another country. Atmosphere was fantastic. We were guests for a wedding so I don't know how the technical/scheduling side went but the wedding was beautiful. Def recommend it for at least a trip!

We recently photographed a wedding here and were blown away by the stunning grounds and castle. It fulfilled our couples dreams of getting married in a castle, and then some. We look forward to being back for another wedding next year!

This has been on my bucket list since the Rose Red miniseries came out over 20 years ago. It was one of my daughters favorite scary shows growing up. So naturally we booked the Rose Red suite for two nights. The castle and grounds are just breathtaking! After our initial check in we never saw another person in the house except for the housekeeper Tammy. She was so sweet, helpful and hospitable to us. You could tell she has a great love and appreciation of the castle. |We were the only guests for our two nights which suited us just fine. Nothing spooky to report. The castle has a warm welcoming energy to it. I hated to leave

I would like to rate it higher (breakfast would really help), I think it is mainly geared for weddings. Oddly, the best part for us was on a Wednesday night, we seemed to be the only ones there. The owners live in one wing of the house but we never saw them. So walking around this huge place by ourselves at night was creepy. So it really had a haunted house vibe moreso than romantic. We were told not to walk around the neighborhood because it pissed the neighbors off- You can see the entire property in about two hours so can easily be done in one night, we did enjoy Steilacoom for lunch!
