I used to come out here often. There’s a small stretch of beach that you can walk on peacefully as there is not that many people that come to on this side. Mostly locals. They come out, sit and enjoy the beautiful sunrises. I saw a group of older men just sitting there in the grassy area talking. I saw only one accessible parking spot. There could’ve been more I just didn’t see them. Very kid friendly.
This is a very low-key beach. Not good for swimming as the rip currents are strong here. There are warning signs and says its a 1000$ fine. The parking lot is small and can get filled up quickly on weekends. There are a few benches to sit and relax, and watch the waves. Nothing much to see here except for crabs and some birds. But the beach is really clean.
I can't explain what I just witnessed when I was at this mini park! One, it had amazing views of the ocean! Two, it's also a historic site to see what Charleston had to suffer during the Revolutionary War back in 1770. Three, it's also a good place for metal detecting! There are also exceptions that you cannot allow here in this park, you cannot swim due to the abnormally high number of sharks and jellyfish that are in the water, especially during the summer months! And also, if you swim and if the police catch you swimming in that area, pay up! It's a $1,040 ticket for that!

Very low key beach. NOT A GOOD SWIMMING SPOT - the rip currents are so bad you can literally see them. My young kids(both under 8) go up to their thighs and then sit right there. Maybe 5 ft from shore. Otherwise, great quiet little fishing, sun bathing spot
Lots of dolphin sightings and cool shells and crabs and pelicans. Nice beach, but absolutely no swimming or wading because of dangerous currents.
There are benches to sit on to look out over the water. Easy to walk to the beach. Informative signs are there to read. Lovely spot.
Smaller but quiet beach area. Has benches available to sit and enjoy the changing colors of the sunset. It was absolutely magnificent to watch the moon over the ocean from this spot.

Stopped in for lunch. We dined outside. Even though it was busy, we were seated immediately and our food came out quick. It was absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced and easy parking were a plus.
Holy cow this ice cream is absolutely amazing. I was highly impressed. Iâm not a big ice cream fan it usually has a weird texture but this place has perfected ice cream! Itâs super creamy and rich and the fresh waffle cones are a must!
