Absolutely loved this quaint little town. Driving through and stopped at the local “melon fest” had some food and drinks and stumbled upon Thomas Edison’s birthplace. Quite a bit of history the little Ohio town of Milan.
Fantastic tour guides, but Thomas Alva Edison was a remarkable inventor. Tour through his birthplace here in Milan and then his other inventions with voice and movies. Glenda and Dillon were remarkable guides. I was amazed at his prolificity.
It was closed as we passed through town and saw signs. Vacationing in the area. Looked like a cool place and if we get back to Milan we will plan to stop now that we know it's there.
We really enjoyed it! We had our 7 & 9 year old boys with us and were worried they would get bored and touch things they shouldn't. They had plenty to keep them interested and occupied though and good news---nothing was touched or broken (after a stern pre-tour warning from Daddy)!! Very informative and interesting tour. I just wish the hours of the Milan museum were the same. Plenty to fill up an afternoon in this corner of Milan.
What a hidden gem! Not too far from the turnpike, but a great way to spend the afternoon. This facility is very well maintained and our docent was extremely knowledgeable. So glad that we stopped. A full review and video will be up on our website soon.
An incredible place!! Highly recommend a trip here to see some amazing artifacts and a truly historic location. Extremely well run with a knowledge and dedicated staff of local historians. Well worth the trip!!
This museum might be small but it is filled with artifacts from the Edison Family. The tour does not only give insight into Edison's life as an inventor, but also insight into life in the mis 1800s in a community thriving due to the canal system in Ohio.
Wonderful little meuseum for sharing the birthplace of Thomas Edison. Has many artifacts that belonged to the Edison family. Also shares some history of his inventions and of the family. Tour is guided and there is a small fee to enter. Also it is a few doors away from the Milan museum which we skipped but several other groups on our tour seemed to enjoy.

I was in a group that had 6 pizzas ordered to Kalahari. Was told 5:30pm delivery but they were early by 10-15 minutes with delivery. They called 10 minutes ahead so we had time to get to the lobby. Driver was extremely nice and respectful. Loved
Great little shop in Milan, always stop when in the area for coffee and a snack. Everything is always fresh, and the staff is very welcoming. Well run establishment, great atmosphere.
I WISH EVERY IHG HOTEL WAS LIKE THIS ONE! Room was spotless, cozy and comfy with nice natural lighting from the large window. Front desk staff was professional and attentive. Breakfast bacon was THE BEST I have ever had in my many years of travel a
Super nice hotel with personable, friendly staff. The room was clean and fresh, beautifully decorated.....and large enough for 3 adults, a baby, and a 3'x3' play yard (without taking up any walking space); we still had room to spare. The breakfast ar
