This waterfront restaurant is not just another tourist trap. All food items are flavorful and service is top notch - Chicken wings were crisp and fish was meaty. Great place to look out over the water and dine. Wait for a bit long but it was a nice place to visit nevertheless.
The food was really good. Cheese curds and pretzel bites were on point! Kids weren't keen on the crispy fries, but I liked them. Chowder and the Blackened Grouper were very tasty. Excellent service and kid friendly atmosphere!!
The whale deluxe sandwich was fantastic. Wings were very good too, loved the honey garlic sauce! Salads come with a delicious bread stick, even the side salad.
Absolutely the best!! Lexi our server was excellent, fish was fast and tasted fantastic!!
The buffalo chicken sandwich is incredible. Fries were a touch too salty. But you can’t beat the views!
We got a drink and Wild Rice Clam Chowder soup there. Soup was just ok we both thought. The place is very kid friendly, it has an arcade for them to play while waiting for the food. Outside seating was nice overlookjng the lake with nice patio funiture. Inside of the restaurant look updated on one side and older on the other. The Bartender was so friendly and quick to bring us our order. Glad we checked it out while in the area.
I grew up coming to Minocqua, and I did not remember just how dang good The Thirsty Whale is! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Get the wings. Period. They are so crispy and fresh. The servers are great, and the location right on the water makes this the perfect spot for a great dining experience!
Minaqua is an adorable town with great people, food, and boating...but the Thirsty Whale encapsulates all of that while allowing children to sit at a bar. Have you had a rough week at work and also have 6 year old son? No problem. He can eat cheese curds and drink a Shirley Temple at the bar while you have a frozen strawberry daiquiri or two. Then you can spend 5 dollars to step inside the photo booth to commemorate that lovely summer day when you day drank at the bar with your son, talked about the new Mario Brothers movie, and ate cheese curds...and life was great.
I absolutely love this place. It's mostly shaded and overflowing with beautiful landscaping, and the greens are clean and practically new. It even smells wonderful here. The course isn't too hard so it would be suitable for younger kids too. There ar
If you like sushi. This is THE place to go in the northwoods. Even happier now that the dining room is open again. Everything is fresh and the flavors will make you do a happy food dance in your seat.
This Dog Park is an amazing place. While camping nearby our dog Hank was missing playing fetch since he is leashed unless he is in the camper. We found Lakeland Dog Park easily and it was a short drive from Eagle River. Hank played fetch for 30 min
First-time customer. The place has a beautiful view of the lake. We wentbat lunch time in a Saturday. We did not wait long for our food, but a little longer for drinks and refills. We were a bit shocked that tap drinks were $7. It's a bit pricey co
Trig's in Minocqua has quite a few things I can't find in other area grocery stores. The store is always clean and is laid out nicely. They have really great sales too. The produce department and the meat counter have great selections, and the butch
Had the Bella pizza. All pizzas are 14x8. Pizza was absolutely amazing! Eating here as we are spending the night in Minocqua and wanted to have maybe a little extra Pizza on the boat tomorrow. They had a bunch of other pizzas. Some spicy. Others no
