The Yellow Chilli Tustin - Indian restaurant in Tustin - 2463 Park Ave, USA

Honestly the food tasted too tangy. We ordered three different curries and all three were very tangy. The appetizers were good though. Their appetizer and naan platter is also a good deal if you go in a big group. We tried their mocktails and they were delicious. The ambience and service is really good. The staff was super helpful and courteous They are well informed of the dishes on the menu and guided us on the options. Will definitely give them another chance. Edit: the food quality has improved significantly since our last visit which was a few months ago. Loved the experience.

We went their for our wedding anniversary dinner and it was worth it! The drinks were fabulous, we had chana jor tikkas for starters which was really good the we had a veg biryani and it was Aamazinggg!!! And the best part was when one of the staff got to know that we were there for our anniversary thay made sure to have a little complimentary pie for our celebration. The pie was delicious! I loved the Ambiance, the service most and food 🤌🏻 would highly recommend for vegetarians and would love to go back there again!!!!

A very crowded place with very good food in a very vibrabt location. The service was good till a large party showed up and everyone from staff got so engrossed in serving them that other tables were un attended We got our food, but it took a few reminders after that to get us the plates to eat. Anyhow growing up in India watching Chef Sanjeev Kapoor on TV, I could not have missed eating at The Yellow Chili Masala papad was a good appetizer, tangy topping on crispy roasted papad. Adraki Paneer was amazingly good, since almost every Indian restaurent in the US feel obligated to add orange color and cream in any Paneer Dish, so havibg Paneer with none of those two was great. The sauce was mostly bhuna Onion and ginger with corriender powder ( will not even attempt to guess other spices) and it was all very well balanced. My friend ordered chicken tikka makahnwala and was very happy with the dish. Butter Nan and Garlic Nan both were soft and delicious. Lachcha parantha was extremely good as well. I would rate this a full 5 Stars if they had given us plates when food was served.

The chicken kebab appetizers were really good. Can't go wrong with masala papad either. Every dish we ordered was good which is not very common at most restaurants. We'll be back whenever we are in the area next time!

This place has some great Indian food. Great selection for meat eaters and vegetarians, including dairy free options. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated. It is very inviting, and the seating is comfortable. My only complaint is we were the 1 of 2 in the restaurant and the 2nd to order, and as the place filled up, we were the last to be served. Took more than 30 minutes. An even larger party came in and started getting served before us. So, I'm not sure what that was about. Other than the longer wait for the food, the wait staff was good and on top of everything else. As far as price, this is one of those restaurants where everything is purchased separately. So you can get paneer sang, but you have to order rice and Naan separately. The cost is about $25 per person if you get rice and bread. Oh, and this is family style eating. However, if you're on your own for lunch, an appetizer would be a great choice. They are nice in size. I would recommend this place. It is delicious.

We really enjoyed our visit and meal. We arrived when they just opened so we were the second group there. The restaurant started getting busy as we came to the end of our visit and the atmosphere picked up. My only issue was that while the food was good, from my perspective, it was not great. For the prices we paid, I hoped for better. Then again, this type of food is not my favorite, and like I said, it got pretty busy as time went on, so clearly, there are other opinions. Also, every single item is a la carte, which drives the price up quickly. I would have liked to see that at least plain rice came with the items or for the table with the option to upgrade.

We went to the yellow chilly with a Lot of hope since we have tried the one in Bay Area and enjoyed it. The food was no where close to what I was expecting it to be. It lacks flavour and taste and none of it tasted even close to what it should taste like. Malai chicken tikka 1/5 - no creamy flavour only tangy with a lot of lemon and sprinkled a lot of red chilly powder. Didn't taste at all like malai chicken tikka Nalli Rogan josh 1/5- the gravy was very thin consistency as compared to what a roghan josh. It was more like curry again the curry was very very tangy and lacked all the other flavours. Palakh paneer 2.5/5 garlic naan, lachcha paratha and jeera rice was decent! I mean you can't go wrong with the basics. The service is decent. The manager was kind enough to replace the roghan josh to a chicken but I there is alot of room for improvement. Food really needs to be worked upon. The 2 stars are mainly for the service.

I accidentally noticed this restaurant while going to Costco, later found out this was part of Sanjeev Kapoor's restaurant chain. Ambience was great and food was amazing, true to their branding found it authentic, not the usual curry type masala found in Indian restaurants in US. We ordered Lawrence road murgh (chicken) tikka, Dum ghost (lamb) Biryani, Puran Singh da tariwala murgh (chicken curry) , butter roti and mango lassi _ see photos for food pics. Absolutely delicious, we enjoyed the meal and mango lassi was the icing on the cake. It's slightly expensive compared to other restaurants but worth it. Will update after trying other dishes next time.
