The Yard - Gastropub in Pittsburgh - 100 Fifth Ave, USA

My friends and I ended up here for brunch after the place we were wanting to go was closed. We were sat immediately which was surprising for a Saturday. Our server was lovely and very attentive with keeping our drinks filled. My food was pretty good and everyone else at my table was pleased with theirs as well. We ended up here because of their "bottomless" mimosas. The mimosas were good, I just wish it was actually bottomless and didn't stop at 15. Overall a great spot for brunch!

Service was great for a Friday Night. Bar holds about 25-30 people but have seating for around 120. Tvs all around, plenty of drinks to choose from. Food is ok, but have plenty of choices. We will definitely come back!

Excellent grilled cheese choices, but can be inconsistent. I ordered the "mother of dragons" grilled cheese a few times over the years and the quality seems to vary like the size of the chicken, toppings, and grill of the bread. You can see by the pictures that the bread is not grilled very well. The food at this place is also not healthy at all since everything is very rich. The chips and soup that come with the grilled cheese are very good. The worst problem is the noise. You can barely hear the server when trying to order.

This place has excellent prices and I couldn't ask for more flavor wise! I was with a group while we were at an event going on within the Pittsburgh area and we went there multiple times!!

The brunch is only served on weekends. The burger is good, but the chip on the side is not my thing. Associate is kind. Atmosphere is good that it’s good to come here with friends.

Service was rather slow. Host(es) stand appeared a little unorganized. They also could have used a little more staffing (dining room and/or kitchen). Service... our server Kendal did a great job. I would actually request her on our next visit. As for the food, it was very yummy. Portion was very fair. Prices are very reasonable. I consider returning for the food, but certainly not on a Saturday night. While the 'grilled cheese' was yummy, it had nothing on The Grilled Cheese Bistro in Norfolk, VA Oh, let me also mention that it's really loud. It is difficult to have a conversation with this your party. Not someplace to go on a date, meeting, or with anyone that you want to have a meaningful conversation with.

A bit of a let down. I was hoping for some very delicious sandwiches. They are supposed to serve sort of thing you want when craving comfort food. But, I found these 'gourmet' sandwiches to not only be not worth the price, but also mediocre compared to average sandwiches. I ordered the Smack Yo Mama grilled cheese sandwich and the Cuz We Got High mini dessert. I got to choose 2 sides with the sandwich. This was the grilled cheese and the chips. The chips were probably my favorite part of this meal. They were super crispy and delicious. Nice portion as well. And, super salty (but I still liked it). The tomato soup was super underwhelming. It wasn't even like soup. It had the consistency of a watery dip more than a soup. And the portion they gave was so thin that it functioned less like a soup and more like just a dip. It wasn't that flavorful either. The actual sandwich itself was decent. Definitely not worth the money if you're craving good comfort food and just that, nothing more, but it wasn't bad. The chicken was sweet and pretty tasty. A little dry but not bad. Cheese was okay and the bread was nothing special at all. Pretty underwhelming. The dipping sauce, although the container was small, was actually quite tasty and cheesy. So, since the cheese they used in the sandwich was pretty flavorless, this helped. I've seen so many rave reviews for their dessert but I personally didn't like it that much. It was probably the second best thing I tried, and it is fairly priced, but just not that good. Not much Nutella and the banana just did not go very well with the nutella. It's somewhat tasty but rich and personally not my kind of dessert. The marshmallow fluff was nice, and they gave me a lot of it, but it's just marshmallow fluff. All in all, I was pretty disappointed with this place. I really thought I could have gotten a great meal from here, but it turned out to be underwhelming. The sandwiches are overpriced and not the best, and so is everything else I tried (except the chips and maybe the dessert since it was pretty cheap). Just get a classic grilled cheese from a small shop if you want grilled cheese.

Food was pretty good. Good portion sizes and tasty. It’s greasy, but that’s expected when you order the menu items we did. Service was a bit disorganized.
