An enchanting evening at The Stanley Hotel's Whiskey Bar was elevated by James, a charismatic bartender who crafted excellent cocktails. His engaging conversation made for an unexpectedly delightful encounter. Opting to dine at the bar, the night became a perfect blend of great ambiance and good company. Make sure to try the lobster bisque soup!🦞🥣 Highly recommend for a special night away. 🥃🌟

James was great! He helped up pick the best drinks and made sure our experience was amazing!! His cocktail making was delicious, and made us laugh while doing it! There was some seriously obnoxious guests at the bar with us and he was so kind and served us all with amazing service. I cannot believe he dealt with those people, he is an amazing tender we will absolutely be coming back for drinks with James!!!

Pricey but a fantastic whiskey selection and atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax by a fire and take in the relaxing mountain atmosphere with a drink. Be aware that parking is a little tight and the parking lot is poorly lit though!

Underwhelmed. I had high hopes and expectations for the bar but was disappointed in the atmosphere and cocktail quality. Just because it’s a historic bar doesn’t mean it needs to feel dated. The seating was a mix of high and low top tables with thinly cushioned chairs, I had expected something along the lines of high-backed tufted leather booths and comfortable bar seating that would invite you to relax as you enjoyed the selection of whiskeys. Drinks? Overpriced and terribly mixed. Our table ordered an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, and Blue Estes Sky, which is a signature rum cocktail. The Old Fashioned came out with a ridiculously thick orange slice and was deemed ‘unmemorable’ despite the $16 price tag. The Blue Estes Sky went unfinished due to the fact that it was a complete sugar bomb, and the Manhattan tasted more like cheap Vermouth than the smooth classic cocktail it should have been (also $16). We don’t mind that price tag if it’s a good crafted cocktail but the quality was reminiscent of a cheap college bar, not a renowned historical whiskey bar. Cocktails menu definitely needs an update and bartenders need to step up their skills. We came for after dinner drinks so I can’t speak to the food quality.

This bar has so much character! We just had a cocktail before our ghost tour and it was delicious. The bar was crowded but we were able to enjoy our drinks on the front porch of The Stanley overlooking the mountain views.

The ambiance is key here, but they do have an impressive selection - managed to find pappy here. Cocktails are fairly standard but provide enough to be slightly elevated. Worth a stop in, even if for just a drink.

We had delicious signature cocktails and spinach artichoke dip inside the restaurant and bar at The Stanley Hotel. It was neat to see all the notable individuals and celebrities that have either filmed (on site) or stayed at the hotel as guests. The bar seating area walls were filled with pictures and memories from when the property first opened to present day. The staff offered very friendly service as well during our visit. Thank you!

This cozy lounge exceeded any expectation! My mom wasn’t feeling well from traveling and they let us have free tea bags, lemons, etc. Bartender James was AMAZING! As an industry worker, it was refreshing to see someone who could potentially be ran ragged by tourism remain so friendly and warm. This place rocks!

We loved the Emerald Lake! Nice little out and back off our bigger loop. It was a little slick in the Oct snow & ice but not bad walking.
