A nice local tavern. Service was good. She brought out the wrong drink but fixed it when asked. Food was fine. The pasta dish was supposed to be in a white wine sauce, but came out in red tomato-based sauce. We didn’t opt to try to address the issue since we were on a timeline. The fish and chips was ok- two smaller pieces of fish, and not as buttery or flaky as I would normally expect. But not bad. The burger patty was on the thinner side and had a pool of grease sitting in the middle, but my 5 year old gobbled it up. Atmosphere was quiet and clean.
We went to the Wharf after a dear friends mother's funeral. It was her mother's wishes after her service for all involved to go & get drunk. Well, we didn't get drunk but did have a couple of cocktails & a very yummy lunch. It was a sad service but comforting to be all together. The Wharf & John made our visit a special occasion.
This place is def pub vibe. I was sticking to the floor getting to a bar stool. The bartender was nice. Wife ordered a fisherman's platter and a platter it was not. More like a plate with minimal seafood. Check the pics. Expensive of course but damn, nothing like a platter. I ordered seared scallops served with risotto. Scallops were undercooked but the risotto was bomb! If I ever come back, I'll just get a burger.
Excellent location and the food quality matches it. The chowder fries definitely stand out and are a must-try here. We ordered the pastrami with side caesar. The sandwich was light and delicious without any unnecessary extra condiments. The side salad was fresh and light easily going together with the sandwich. Definitely recommend!!
Good service. Cocktails: don’t get the Paloma. No where near a Paloma cocktail. Perhaps the bartender was training, I’m not sure. But don’t waste your money on that. Get the frozen cocktails, you can’t go wrong if it’s already all premixed, can’t mess that one up. We ordered the salad and it was good. I asked for extra vinaigrette because they don’t put much on it. Also we ordered lobster and it was good. We also ordered the cod. It was plentiful and good as well. Very casual place. Nothing fancy at all. Very warm and welcoming. Management could step it up with cleanliness however. There was no soap in the men’s bathroom. That to me is inexcusable because the workers aren’t washing their hands with soap! That to me is pretty gross! And a reflection on the management team.
Ended up here 3 times on a work trip. Ordered steak frites all 3 times…the 2 orders I had at night were amazing, cooked perfectly, had the perfect amount of char on it and seasoned very well. The one time I went for lunch had me asking if I received the same meal. Maybe it’s a hit or miss or maybe skip during lunch hours. Nonetheless service was amazing all the time, drinks were good.
A little confusing at first but once someone greeted us we were seated immediately. Food was pretty good. Drinks were okay. Service was marginal but sufficient. Overall not a home run but our expectation was Tavern / Bar so it certainly met that level. It was also very convenient to the Vineyard Square hotel.
This place is a gem!! Jack, our waiter was absolutely amazing, food could not have been better, 5 stars all the way! If I could give 10 stars I would! The swordfish was one of the best entrees my husband has ever had and the Philly cheese steak was hands down the best I have ever had. I am not sure what they do to their fries, but it is magical, lol!!! Drinks don't disappoint on any level. Atmosphere is beautiful, old decor, old exposed beams and lantern lights, and it is a jaws fan dream come true with all the memorabilia! This is a MUST SEE on your itinerary through Martha's Vinyard!
A great dining experience for those on the Vineyard who want something more formal and not seafood obsessive. I appreciated the variety of options on the menu and the wine/cocktail selection. A perfect date night.
We stopped here for apps and it was great. We sat at the bar and the corn appetizer was incredible as was the Brussels sprouts. They have some amazing art work through out as well. I highly suggest you make reservations as we tried to make some and c
Marthaâs Vineyard so precious and I was very privileged to stay at one of the best resort in the island. Everything - room interior, service, food, nature - is so perfect that I understood why people pay a lot of dollars to stay here during peak Ju
With brunch themed cocktails and Eggs Benedict on the menu, this was my kind of breakfast. With only two tables in front of the restaurant, I chose to sit on the porch in the rocking chair and wait into both parties were done dining. We had just miss
