We stayed here for a wedding. The room was extremely small. There was a faint smell of mold, which we quickly figured out was coming from water damage in the ceiling. The air conditioner didn’t work and it was very hot in the room. The bathroom door almost fell off the track and didn’t close all of the way. The toilet screamed when it flushed. I felt sorry for my neighbors because it was so loud. We couldn’t wait to leave and almost considered going back down to the front desk and cancelling based upon the condition of the room. It needs major updating and plumbing.

Not a good experience at the hotel after staying for a wedding. Our room was so tiny and old (think dorm room ) and it had a really weird smell when we first walked in. The bathroom door was broken and there was no vent (I think that’s what contributed to the moldy smell). The lighting is awful and the coffee maker was on a shelf a few feet off the ground and you literally had to sit on the floor to use it - but it was broke so I guess that doesn’t matter! But the best part was before we left, I sat at the desk for a moment and noticed tons of ants all over the desk top and there was NO food in that room. The after-wedding breakfast was good and the staff were personable but I would not stay here again.

I used this hotel for my guest and I to stay at for my wedding weekend. There were 4 other weddings staying there and not once did any of my guest felt like it was packed or crazy, you couldn’t even tell there were 4 other weddings staying there. The venue alone is Beautiful & the staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a farewell breakfast the next morning in a private room and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

As a frequent traveler and Bonvoy member, I have stayed at a variety of Marriott/Westin/etc properties. I cannot believe this property is a Westin-feels like a run down motel. The comfortable beds and friendly staff at the front desk are the only reasons I didn’t give one star. The rooms are dated, smelled like smoke /dog. I sneezed and coughed most of the night. Heard doors slamming and people walking around all hours of the night-I probably got two hours of sleep. Breakfast was disappointing-not typical Bonvoy quality. No bell carts available for check in or check out.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Westin Governor Morris. It's easy to get to and right near the Frelinghuysen Arboretum—beautiful hiking trails. I was in the area for an event at the Madison Art Center–the hotel was conveniently located about seven minutes away. As a titanium elite member, I was able to receive an upgrade to a large junior suite. We ordered room service because we needed a very early dinner, and there was no restaurant open at 4 p.m. We were blown away by the quality of the room service; it was incredibly delicious and nicely presented. In the morning, we got the free continental breakfast (offered to Platinum and above Bonvoy members). It's in the restaurant, but they just bring you a plate of yogurt, fruit cup, and then your choice of toast, a bagel, or a pastry. And you get orange juice and coffee. It was fine, nothing special. We got a late checkout which is always a nice extra. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The shower was good, bed was comfortable, etc. Our only suggestion was that the second room of the suite was a bit sparse and it could use some more furniture. There was no coffee table in front of the coach, there should have been a few more chairs and perhaps another coach, and the lighting was minimal. (And the bedroom had the blackout shades but the vanity shade was missing.) The suite was enormous (long hall when you first walk in the door); it looked like it was previously some other type of room used for business before it was made into a suite. But overall, a great stay. Will definitely return.

Was here for a wedding. The hotel is extraordinarily overpriced and frankly inconvenient for guests. The rooms are fine, nothing special. What’s frustrating is that the bathroom has no vent and it gets extremely steamy. Our coffee maker was missing parts and so we couldn’t even use the free tea or coffee. Unfortunately our room looked out over the pool so we had to keep the blinds down constantly otherwise people could look directly in. Also frustrating, the tv was limited to a few channels, no guide so no way to see what was coming up, and no way to stream or cast anything. There were plentiful outlets in the room with usb an and c ports which was appreciated. The bed is very comfortable but it was a struggle trying to get the AC to a decent temperature so that we didn’t overheat while trying to sleep. The hotel is located in an odd part of Morristown that is almost entirely residential. There are very few sidewalks and no amenities in walking distance so good luck getting anything to eat that isn’t the overpriced hotel food. You also have to have a car to get around otherwise you’ll be relying on Uber to get anywhere. The hotel offers no shuttles or anything to get into Morristown. The food is extremely expensive and low quality. It’s like the hotel knows you can’t go anywhere else and offers the bare minimum to maximize their profits. My partner got The Traditional which is billed as three eggs any style, home fries, a side salad, and toast. The home fries were stale as though they had been sitting under a heat lamp. The side salad was maybe five leaves of wet and limp lettuce. I ordered an omelette that turned out to be tiny and poorly made and a ripoff at $17. Of note, this was the second time we ordered room service. The first time we waited thirty minutes for food before canceling. The second time it arrived more promptly thankfully. The Blue Morel is a nice restaurant and does have good food, but while the food is good, it’s also very expensive. I had the burger which was delicious, but it was also $22. Not sustainable when it’s one of your two options for food. The pool and gym were nice and clean if kinda small. The staff were very kind and professional. Even so, I would not recommend staying here or booking a block for an event.

Though the property overall is a bit dated it certainly appeals to those of us who prefer "old world" qualities. Great location in a quieter part of this lovely city(not the outskirts) that provides impeccable service that is always professional and friendly. Would highly recommend this property for a stay, a wedding or any celebration that needs to be unique and memorable.

Had a bad vibe walking in, but put civilized front for the twerp at front desk. On a pretty slow night he kept me waiting five minutes while searching for a room, which was adjacent to door at outdoor pool entrance. Back to desk for another room, which was next to a crying baby. Different clerk took ten minutes to find a room. Rude, heavy walker next to last room, but I waited it out. ||Fifteen dollars for internet after paying one seventy for one night. Quite the hassle signing in through Marriott if you don't have password saved.
