The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort - Hotel in Fort Lauderdale - 321 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, USA

I recently stayed at the Westin in Fort Lauderdale Beach for one night and had a somewhat mixed experience. I was pleased to receive a complimentary upgrade as a Gold Elite status member, which was a nice perk. However, the check-in process was quite hectic. The rental car check-in was located in the same area as the front desk and valet, which added to the chaos. Unfortunately, the front desk staff were not very accommodating during check-in and seemed almost annoyed by our questions, which left a less-than-ideal first impression. On the positive side, the room views were very nice, offering a pleasant visual experience. However, the bathroom design provided very little privacy, which was less than ideal. One highlight of our stay was dining at the restaurant downstairs, Lona. The drinks and food were very good, and our waiter, Richard, was fantastic. He went above and beyond by bringing our dog water and ensuring we had shade on a hot day, making the experience even better. The property is also very dog-friendly, which we appreciated as we were traveling with our pet. Overall, while there were some nice aspects to the stay, the chaotic check-in and lack of privacy in the bathrooms were downsides that detracted from the overall experience. However, the excellent service at Lona and the dog-friendly atmosphere were definite highlights.

This place should be solely booked on location and convenience… but will come with a hefty price. Between resort fee, valet and taxes alone its $100, without the cost of the room. Valet $55!!!! That’s outrageous! And not to mention they charge for umbrellas on the beach, $40! It’s a resort, that’s part of what we pay for. It’s so ridiculous how they penny pinch us for everything. It’s one way in and one way out, so “check-out “ early or it will be a headache and long wait to get your vehicle. The convenience of its location and restaurants on the premises is the only reason I book here. It makes my life easier with a baby. Access to beach is easy with the walk way from the pool deck. It’s location is a walking distance, down from the busy part of the strip. It is clean and hospitality has never been a problem for me here. Prices are my only “downfall” abt this place, as it wasn’t always as high. I understand inflation, but they are really milking us.

Been to this hotel in the past and always enjoy my stay. Everything is first rate. Francisco at the front desk is the best! Walk to anywhere on the beach. Rooms are lovely. I especially like Lona. The food is wonderful. The outdoor bar is a lot of fun and the bartenders make a mean drink

Overall, I did not enjoy my stay at the Westin Beach Resort & Spa,Ft. Lauderdale.My mother is handicap and I had indicated this to the front desk prior to making my reservations to ensure that this would be accommodated. When we arrived (my mother, sister, and me), I was informed that their were no handicap rooms in the tower 1, which I had requested and we had to stay in tower 2. It was a long walk to tower 2 for someone who is handicap. The carpet in tower 2 was filthy and our room 1403 was dusty and not clean, found water bottle at top of bed near nightstand. I requested another room, which they asked me to come and pickup a key. The substitute room was just as bad, so we remained in the room assigned since it was for only 1 night only (heading to 14 day cruise) and cleaned with the Clorox wipes that we brought with us. I am use to Westin hotels being top quality and clean, which is why I selected the hotel. There was a flashing message on the phone, which I thought was for current guest, me, which was not the case, it was for the previous guest, a sincere apology from the manager for their unfortunate stay that they had experienced. I suggest some re-training be done with the staff, especially housekeeping and front desk. I was made to feel like an inconvenience when discussing my concerns with the noticeably not clean room. Also, I was not informed of any of the amenities that the property had including the welcome drinks. This was a horrible experience and I am a Marriott Bonvoy member.

Nice hotel for the price, the staff accommodate you as much they can, Francisco front the front desk was very helpful, tbe rooms are clean and the begs were comfortable. The food was good at Lona restaurant, the service kind of slow but they were short on waitresses, the manager gave us an explanation and send us 2 bowls of fruit as a compliment and also front desk extended our check out to 1:30PM for the extra time we expend at the restaurant. I do recommed ghis hotel and for shure i will come back.

Melva was absolutely phenomenal! She is such a sweet spirit, professional, beautiful, warmand easy to talk to. She made us feel extremely welcomed and fielded all of our questions with a smile. We got a beautiful upgrade with an ocen view! Lots to do here! Perfect vacation spot.|We can't wait to go back|

The hotel is located in a great area right across from the beach and near to the mall. There are a couple of nice restaurants and a bar over looking the beach. The hotel offers complimentary water button have to ask for them at the front desk. They did not place any in them in the room when the room was cleaned each day. They do have a large water in the room for a fee.

Place is a waist of money. Front desk amd "management" is a joke nobody has a clue how to deal with problems but they know how to charge you extra for a resort fee yet we delta with a broken shower elevators not working hot tub not working key pad to our room not working a/c is absolutely terrible I'd never stay here again worst overpriced hotel I've been in the restaurant out front on the street level is a joke we tried it 4 times in our stay the staff absolutely sucks
