The Well Restaurant + Bar - American restaurant in Great Barrington - 312 Main St, USA

We stopped by The Well Restaurant and Bar today for a drink and a quick bite. And we are sure glad we did! Emily greeted us with a smile! She was our bartender and server as well. We ordered chicken tenders with Buffalo dipping sauce and the Go Greens salad with Ranch & Cesear dressings on the side. These were enough to share and everything was delicious!!! The 413 was a tasty blend of bourbon and apple cider. I cannot remember the beer, but it was tasty, too. The atmosphere was awesome with exposed brick and stone. The hanging lights were cool. Loved the Christmas decorations! Highly recommend! We look forward to going back there soon! Emily was the BEST!!! 🤩

Great Onion rings,Moist blacken chicken sandwich. Best fries! Hugh ribeye ,cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced. Excellent service.

I really liked this restaurant. The vibe was nice, and the music playlist was pretty lit. The Mac and cheese was flavorful, and the Buffalo sauce on the wings was so good. I had bbq and Buffalo wings with Mac and cheese, my friend had wings and Parmesan truffle fries. My other friend had the Cobb salad and garlic bread. Will definitely visit again.

We arrived (the wife & I) I walked in and went to the hostess station which was through the dining area just before the bar. I could see it was full so I asked the nice woman if I could put my name & # to get a call when a table opened. She replied “absolutely” I gave her the info and was told it would be about 15 or 20 min. After about 30 min we went back to the restaurant to see or something like that. I walked in and immediately noticed a gentleman at a table that wasn’t there before us but maybe he had reservations. I was standing at the hostess station and the help would walk by as if I was a lamp post. So I took the hint and waited outside the door. By the way the entrance way leads directly to dining area so if you wait inside you will be literally leaning over a patron trying to eat. So we waited outside. While we were standing there we could see through the window tables opening up. Customers started passing by us and my wife said “check it out I think they are gonna seat them” so I went in and literally heard the staff ask hi! Welcome how many? Oh great sit right here then again til finally I had to cut off the next guests and said politely “I thought we were gonna get a call?” The Woman looked at me with disgust and said oh I’m so sorry here’s a seat for you 2. Then our waitress came over giving me dirty looks and making me feel bad cuz they had it in their mind I was a jerk or something. Although I will say our waitress was good and I appreciate that but you could tell she had a dislike when she first came over thinking I would be a difficult customer but that eased when she realized everything was good as far as she was concerned. We left a 25% tip and departed. If the restaurant asks for a name and # why not call? This wasn’t unique to us because we heard another patron asking the same question waiting near us. The restaurant needs to do something for folks waiting. When we were eating patrons were lined up down the middle while customers are to the left and right inched from each other.

We were looking for a nice place to eat when we came up to the Great Barrington/Lee area of Mass. from Southern Connecticut and using Google maps for restaurant recommendations this place stood out. My Wife and I decided to give The Well a try as the reviews were very good and the menu had the type of food that we like when eating out. It's a very small place with a good size bar and about 6 tables and 4 booth seats. Of course you can eat at the bar too. The service was very good and the wait staff were very friendly and new the menu well. Our food was out with in 20 minutes of ordering and it was smoking hot. I had the Philly Steak and Cheese Hero and my Wife had Popcorn Shrimp. Both were delicious. Like I said it is a bit small but the old brick and stone walls gave it a good appearance and felt like it was more intimate than some huge restaurant. Definitely worth trying out if you are in the area. If I had to classify the restaurant I would say it's American food.

Fantastic food! We tried the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, meatloaf, and chicken parm and they were all great! Service is very fast and friendly. Ambiance is quite nice. Cocktail and beer list is subpar.

The wait staff is so friendly. Especially Kat, who was patient, skilled, considerate, and best of all hilarious. Food was great, we loved the Caeser salad especially. And the best sign of a good restaurant? AMAZING FRIES!

I wasn't planning to have dinner at this bar as I was going to just sit at the bar for a couple of drink but I changed my mind after I saw the food that was coming out from the kitchen. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere was just great. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing. Check the pic!
