This Bar lounge has it's history.. it was Motown private members club pictures of celebrities hanging unto the walls very cozy serving chicken wings / chicken breaded style, fries & other items. Let's get to the drinks, the bartenders makes good drinks and are pleasant, the securities are wonderful they make sure you're safe inside and while awaiting outside. Thursday nights is banging with a LIVE DJ throwback music from 70's to the present... I am always having a FANTASTIC time. Please visit if you see me say "hi" Cheers

The door men, Art and Vince, made us feel unbelievably safe. We had just been grabbed and harassed on the street around the corner and those two searched the entire bar before we entered so we felt safe going in there and then a few minutes later they came to check on us to make sure we were still safe. And when we were leaving they checked the roads and made sure we felt safe before getting into our Uber. We’ve never felt safer in a bar setting. A million thank yous to them!

Have lived in the neighborhood for 12 years and yesterday was the first time going. Wish I had discovered it sooner. It's cool! Drinks were well made. Only had fries and shrimp but way better than I had any reason to expect. Overall vibe is very chill.

The Well is a beautiful lounge style bar with an extensive menu and full bar. It's off the sunset strip on Argyle oppositeThe Hollywood Palladium. It's got great atmosphere and a touch tunes Duke box, plenty of bar seating, booths and a private keyhole room often used for birthday's, CD release parties, after show parties etc. Parking on the streets is free after 8pm but if you're drinking you should lyft or Uber anyway. The place is busy and vibrant particularly when the Hollywood Palladium has shows, Currently there is no table service, this place is old school, so you order from the bar and sit anywhere you like. It's casual, but classy. Gives a rat pack kind of vibe.

Very chill hipster vibe in a tavern like atmosphere. Specialty drinks were made well. The food was descent and made well but seemed unseasoned serving basic bar type food. The service was very underwhelming. The bar was not busy at all on the Saturday night we visited, with 3 bartenders working and maybe 20 guest around 10pm. The female seemed to most friendly as she took our order. The one who brought us our food never said a word and spilling some of the food on table as he brought it out (like he was too good to be there) the third one who closed out order just seemed irritated. My date who has been here a few times says that service has never been the reason to go here. However this was a cool place for a first date to sit, talk, enjoy a drink and appetizers.

I had a unique experience. I had a friend who moved to LA (first time in America) and I wanted to treat him to a few birthday drinks on his arrival to the US. I called and spoke with the owner who took extra time and attention to help me out with this request. Even though my friend hasn’t made it by yet, the service provided is above and beyond. I will definitely be making a trip in in person next time in LA. Thanks for you help!

A classic space with an excellent chicken sandwich and Moscow mule to accompany it! I'm happy to say I feel very realistically connected to any musician or artist who is about to perform at the near by palladium on sunset! Also great bar staff who is always happy and extremely aware and attentive even when it gets crazy busy! We love Lisa : she’s a phenomenal happy energy that this place needs : we will continue to come back : this happy hour is a great secret almost too : 4pm - 8pm Great job everyone!

Intimit and dark Hollywood bar with a long history in LA loure. Visited during happy hour and had a great experience with both food and drink. We had the loaded potatoes, spicy wings, chicken tacos, and fries. All were top notch, though the wings were not as spicy as billed. Decor was updated during COVID, so modern touches and comforts await patrons. The sound system is full and surrounding, spread out so there isn't a need to have loud and quiet spots that would interfere with your typical conversation level. Now featuring live music on select nights. Check the online calendar. Attended a performance by Father Daddy led by door man Art Machuca. It was a great blues rock performance, and the sound guy absolutely amazed. Sounded great and didn't overpower like many live performances. Loud, but in a good way. Vocals and guitars on par with the drums. Hard to attain, and great and clear. Enjoyable.
