A nice restaurant next to the beach with great views of the rock if you manage to find a seat next to the window. We got the halibut fish and chips and crab sandwich along with some salad. The food was good . The halibut was a little oily for our liking but was fine. There is potential here and i hope they add more flavors to their seafood options. Right now it was limited. They also have a really nice brunch option which is open till 11 am
This restaurant has the most amazing view of the Cannon Beach while dining. Their window seats are the most romantic spots to dine. The food was excellent. Their chowder is the best tasting ever, better than the popular chowder in Pike Place Market, Seattle. It is a must try. 👌
Great view of the ocean, while eating dinner. Service was good. Food is not something I'd return for, other than the clam chowder. Halibut and chips: fries were good, but the halibut was very greasy. Razor clams: all you could taste was the breading. Potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and butternut squash were mediocre. Not something to write home about, and not something we're walking away from, and thinking, "dang, that was the best meal!"
Stopped here for a nice lunch of their specialties. Got the clam chowder and the crab mac and cheese. Both were fantastic and made for a filling lunch! The view and staff were also amazing.
We were not looking for a big meal, so we just got a salad and the pork poutine, which was really good and used local cheese. Then the very best part was the delicious chocolate dessert named after Haystack Rock, which can be seen from the dining room windows. That was amazing! And when we couldn't finish all the honeycomb on it, they sent us home with a box full, which was such a sweet thing to do for us, especially since we didn't get a big meal. We enjoyed our stop at the Wayfarer very much. And the view can't be beat!
Had my birthday dinner here a few days ago and it was lovely! We had reservations and they gave our family a table with the best view in the place! The good was yummy and the service was friendly! We ordered the Crab Mac & cheese, crab cakes (which were so good and barely any filler!), a couple of clam bakes to share (so yum!) the Ribeye, and the veggie Mac & cheese. The food was good and the cocktails were delicious! Great dinner for my birthday celebration!!
The food was delicious...clam chowder, which I was told is made fresh every morning with a tried and true recipe that they have used for years and also the fish and chips. The view was AMAZING!! It is family friendly and casual attire.
Calamari is great! Crunchy outside side juicy inside, perfectly cooked. Fish and chips are very nice, the fish tastes like tempura, not much batter outside, very good! Just too much fired lol. Clam chowder was just ok, little too salty. Beautiful view of the beach and the rock, cozy environment, good service, little pricy. 😜
