The Waves Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection - Hotel in Wildwood - 4001 Atlantic Ave, USA

Great location 2 blocks from the boardwalk. Free breakfast included very minimal continental. Free parking 1 car per room. Parking is stacked so you have to leave your key but they are quick to get your car out and available 24/7. Rooms were clean and pool was great.

This hotel is not worth the money you pay for a room. The rooms are way too small, sheets were dirty and had black stains marks. There was dust everywhere, I don't think they ever dust it. The pool is super small and looks dirty (I didn't let my kids go in) The only good thing about this hotel is the girl on the front desk, she was friendly. I do not recommend this hotel.

Is it fancy? No. But was it the cleanest and quietest Wildwood hotel I've stayed at? Yes! Stayed 2 nights for the Wildwood frisbee tournament. Location is awesome, so close to the beach, boards, and piers. Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was tight & had to leave car keys at the front desk but we didn't need our car until checkout so it wasn't a big deal.

Me and my significant other stayed here this week, we are young so don’t get me wrong most things we were fine without having, however there’s a few things that stood out. We did not ask for anything to be cleaned during our stay, but found burn holes in the sheets as well as a dead cockroach in the bed (pictures below). We didn’t mention the dead cockroach as we found it the last night we were sleeping there anyway. Upon arrival there was a gentleman that told us he had been waiting for 30 minutes prior to us arriving for someone to check him in. He called the number provided at the desk and the person didn’t arrive til 3pm (check in time), so the front desk had no one. There was also barely anyone else in the hotel, but the parking you can tell if it was busy it would be tuff with the pillars as well as having to park behind another. It was listed that there was breakfast, but we were told they didn’t have it when going down to the lobby one morning. As much as I wanted to enjoy this place and make it a new spot I can’t say I will return. Never have I gone to see no one at the desk, burn holes in sheets, dead cockroach in the bed, and told there were things like breakfast and not given.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We were planning on staying for a baseball tournament on 8/9/24. My son was injured after being hit with a baseball bat at practice and suffered a traumatic brain injury and can no longer play in the tournament. I called 30 minutes after the cancellation window and the manager Andy Mehta refused to make an exception and charged me $450 to cancel my reservation. These people are clearly heartless and greedy and will do anything to take your money! There are plenty of other places to stay, with owners and managers that would have done the right thing, especially 30 minutes after the cancellation policy went into effect.

1/5 experience. Unfortunately this is the only Choice Hotel in town. And for 30k rewards points per night absolutely ridiculous experience. There isn’t enough parking for hotel guests. Diamond Rewards Memeber parking spots were given to anyone. The bedding and pillows were absolutely horrific (like sleep on parchment paper). The room did not come with a hair dryer. One was asked for… they “were working on getting one”,.. (for an hour and 20 minutes). Horrible experience. Would not recommend. Bummed that Choice Hotels does not have another property close.

i wouldn’t stay here again. the internet was beyond horrible. couldn’t even finish a movie my husband and i paid for… our shower was leaking so bad that i almost fell. a worker came in saying it would get fixed but it didn’t. there were nonstop parties at the hotel , minors drinking and blasting music. nothing was done. we were there for 3 nights and it was the same every single night.
