This place is a J O K E! I went and got my mom out of this place after 19 hours they hadn’t given her ANY meds, she is a fall risk and her oxygen would not reach to the bathroom and surprise… NO ONE helped her to the bathroom not one time but two!!!! The second time she called family for help at 3 am and then the CNA got hateful with my mom acting as though it was her fault because the staff wasn’t doing their jobs!!! Then Saturday morning the staff wanted to get attitude with me because I wanted an explanation of what was going on. The one who got attitude was an amputee. I wasn’t going to write a review but the lovely director asked us not to leave a bad review. Instead of worrying about the state of my mother. If I Had an attorney I’d love suing for negligence and elderly abuse. This place is a cash cow not a rehab/nursing home. It sickens me and saddens me knowing people are in this situation and can’t speak for themselves.
Very childish management, Kathy and Cindy had refused to hire me and 2 of my colleagues because of a “conflict of interest” they couldn’t tell us anything about. Just saying, it’s definitely not our loss I wouldn’t work here after that definitely.
I've been a CNA for 28 years and I worked in a lot of different Healthcare facilities.this is one of the better ones it's clean the residents are happy, they're taking care of. Which is actually hard to find as sad as that is. overall it's not a very bad place at all I would recommend this place to my family and my friends families.
This place is a joke. I have 14 years experience as a CNA, went and interviewed with the ADON, Anne, two weeks ago. She said she would hire me for PRN and that Misty would start my background check that day. It’s been two weeks and I still hadn’t heard anything, so I called and asked Misty in HR what was taking so long. She claimed that my background check “probably did come back, but there were no open positions right now. But there would be in the future”. That makes no sense and I know that’s a lie. Why would you pay to run a background check for no reason? Why would you have someone sit and wait on a background check thinking they had a job and then not even follow up with them? This place is a circus, they seriously need to get it together.
My dad spent nine months at The Waters of Johnson City, in rehab and long term care. He was happy with his stay and said everyone was very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well appointed, and the staff is caring and skilled. I highly recommend The Waters of Johnson City for either rehabilitation or long term care.
The Waters of Johnson City is an amazing facility! I highly recommend sending your loved one there. The loving and compassionate care provided by their staff was outstanding. My grandfather spent his last days at The Waters and we couldn’t have asked for better care.
The Waters of Johnson City is amazing! Prior to my Dad residing there, we had walked through other facilities (that had higher ratings online) and they were a nightmare.
The moment I pulled into The Waters, I knew it was right. Clean and well maintained grounds. Walked in to a clean, well maintained building with great staff that was interacting with their residents and genuinely enjoyed it! The home itself is not only spotless, but it’s well decorated. The dining area has a massive big screen and residents were engaged in playing cards and other activities. There is a hair dresser that comes for hair needs and shaves. The kitchen and menu are wonderful. When my Dad got there he wasn’t eating. He ate well while residing there, and enjoyed the food.
Even though all of the staff was exceptional, one nurse went over and above. It wasn’t just a paycheck to him. He was truly loving, kind and genuine not only to my Dad, but to our family. His name is Jeremy. And Jeremy is a valuable employee and should be recognized as such. My Dad passed away day before yesterday but we are so grateful that his last days were spent with the wonderful care of Jeremy.
When looking for a home to care for a loved one, I give The Waters of Johnson City a DEFINITE thumbs up. Look no farther. Walk in and visit without an appointment and you’ll see what I mean.
The nursing management is a joke! The director of nursing is rude, clueless, and unprofessional. She does NOT know the patients at all. I have had multiple family members at this facility through the years. In January 2021 when another family member got there, the social worker was the only one in management who seemed to act like she knew anything and cared anything for the patients. I’ve been told that she left the job. That’s a shame! They have some great nurses and CNAs but they are understaffed, overwhelmed and overworked. My family member is not happy with the care she receives. She said she is afraid to say anything for fear of retaliation. She has overheard conversations between staff and the DON and has told me that she curses at her staff. This place has the potential to be great, but not with the nursing management they have now. You need more management that care about the residents and the staff because right now...you’re failing. Seriously considering taking my family member out of this mess.
