My daughter and I stayed here for two nights during a mother daughter museum trip. This is a beautiful old (built 1766) well maintained home. We stayed in the Carriage House but breakfasted in the main house. Although an old home there are nice touches (closet, dresser, shelf space, bedside lighting...), it is kept very clean, and we thought the beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The staff we interacted with were all friendly. We appreciated having a small parking lot. We loved it!
Great stay, amazing breakfast. Stayed in the Berkshire room with my partner for one night. I will say it’s not an accessible suite - had to climb up a few flights of stairs to get there. But the room was lovely, amazingly comfortable bed, and efficient A/C. Hot breakfast is served in the dining room and it was delicious!
We had a terrific one night stay in the Laura Room. There was a very comfortable bed and plenty of drawers and hooks. Everything was very clean! There is no door between the bathroom and bedroom in Laura Room. Breakfast was quite good.
Owners were lovely. They put up a nice fire for us on a chilly evening. The house feels old and cozy in a good way. Just a 10 minute walk to town. We’d come back.
We stayed two nights here while we explored the area. Location within walking distance of downtown Great Barrington and an easy drive to the Stockbridge, Massachusetts area as well as the Litchfield Connecticut area. The Inn itself is immaculate throughout and tastefully decorated. Barbara and Chris, the owners, were most welcoming and served us delicious full breakfasts each morning. Would highly recommend this charming B &B.
Barb and Chris are friendly and accommodating. Their attention to detail is certainly key to making anyone’s stay exceptional. The breakfast were both delicious and beautifully presented. And one cannot forget the delightful home baked snacks set out during the day. If you are traveling to the Berkshire’s I would recommend you stay here! Did I mention the location is convenient to skiing, hiking and walking down town?
I stayed at the Wainwright several months ago and am still telling people how great it was, so thought I should finally leave a review online. The accommodations were perfect - great indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy the beautiful home and grounds. The breakfast each morning was DELICIOUS and served in a lovely setting where I could relax, get work done, or socialize with others if I chose. The hosts were incredibly responsive from my initial inquiry through my endless questions by phone and email, a reservation change and during my stay itself. I felt warmly welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. If I am lucky enough to spend time in the Berkshires again I will hope I get to to stay at the Wainwright!!
We had a delightful stay at the Wainwright Inn B & B… our room, which overlooked the wildflower garden, was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The room has a very comfortable bed, an electric fireplace, and a small television that I think gets every channel within 5,000 miles. The bathroom has a tub/shower. There is also a walk-in closet with a dresser.|Until we went down to breakfast, we thought we might be the inn’s only guests. The inn is very quiet. We didn’t hear anybody else. The traffic going by on the Main Street through Great Barrington does not make the inn noisy.|The owners, Chris and Barbara, are delightful! They are easy to chat with and they know the area well! They prepare and serve a wonderful breakfast. During our stay the breakfast included fresh fruit, juice, poached eggs served on English muffins with Canadien bacon, home fried potatoes, lemon wine cake, and a bottomless cup excellent coffee.|Their greeter is a very gentle dog!|The well-maintained, historic inn was established 10 years prior to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. |Chris and Barbara have owned the inn since 2015. They live on the property.|We will stay here again on our travels through Massachusetts.

I decided to stop in the Berkshires for a few nights during a drive through New England. I chose this motel because of its rating and value. I called to inquire about availability when I was about 30 miles away. Crystal was very pleasant and offer
We stopped by The Well Restaurant and Bar today for a drink and a quick bite. And we are sure glad we did! Emily greeted us with a smile! She was our bartender and server as well. We ordered chicken tenders with Buffalo dipping sauce and the Go Green
We absolutely LOVED our dining experience at Cafe Adam. We stopped in for dinner at the bar in November while spending the weekend in the Berkshires. The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and went to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed
