This was a very strange experience. Omni is great but they don't have a ton of control over the villas. My first morning there a landscaper blew a pile of leaves onto the shirts I'd left on the balcony to air out. Both the microwave and the phone were broken, as was the privacy lock. There were no privacy curtains so I was either in total blackout or exposed to the world. And the TV was tiny compared to modern standards.
The next time I go to Amelia Island I will stay at the hotel where the Omni staff has more control.
Our experience was top notch! All the staff were welcoming and a joy to work with. The accommodations were wonderful and the enormous property was beautiful and clean. They have so much to offer there is no need to ever leave the property!
Do not stay in the Villas. They are the red-headed step child of the resort. Ours was nothing more than a hotel room with two queen beds. The problem is that the hotel doesn't own the villas even thought they sell the stays. The A/C did not work. Maintenance would not fix it and stated that it was working fine. I work in property management and it seems that the homeowner simply doesn't want to fix it.
Upgraded us at the last minute! Quaint town ...historic district ...arts ...a light house. Shops and restuarants galore and felt very safe walking around at night. The hotel and property doesn't feel " touristy". Great pools for the kids. The ocean is just steps away. You really don 't have leave the property. The staff is very polite and happy. They make the best mochas and chia tea.
But one day taking a short drive into town is worth it. T Over the years we have been to different areas of the state. and this is the best place in Florida. We will be back!
Villa was old and dirty. Need to clean carpet, bathroom was dusty and rusted. The grounds were lovely and kept up.
Our stay at the Villas on Amelia Island.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my experience with this resort a 1.
As soon as we arrived, we received a parking pass that expired the same day. Next, the management needs to explain to the staff at the front desk how & what to tell the clients. We were given a bracelet to wear for our entire stay, but was not told what it was for. Just that we MUST wear it during our stay. There were not enough parking spaces for handicapped people. The bed was worn out. The television was broke. It took over a half an hour to get a response from management regarding. It still was not fixed by the time we left. The freezer was full of ice and was unable to be used. The screen to the patio was old and ready to break. The towels had black spots on them. The floor was dirty. The rug was rolled up & left in the closet. I even had to set the clock. Overall, the furniture in room 6312 is old and needs to be replaced and the room remodeled before renting it out again. After explaining the situation to the lady at the front desk upon leaving, she credited us the resort fee of $44.80 and gave my wife & I a voucher for breakfast. So, I decided to give the resort a 1 on the scale for her trying to give us some credit for the poor experience.
Although, my wife & I will NEVER return!
We will tell our family & friends about this experience.
I will explain to them it was worse than staying at a 6 motel and paid 10 times the cost.
The Villas are outdated and dirty! We will not be returning. No housekeeping in the villas. We had to call for towels. Poor WiFi, hard to connect and stay connected. Bad water pressure, dirty floors.
The rest of the resort is so nice! We’d stay in the hotel.
The restaurants are great (Oceanside, Marche Burette, Sunshine, Bobs Steak and Chop House, Paloma & Pico)!
We didn’t have a good experience at Falcon’s Nest.
The villa was spacious and had everything one would need, except a working air conditioning unit. The villa was cool on arrival but smelled horribly like mold and all the surfaces felt damp. Each morning we woke our throats were sore. I do not think this villa is safe for renters. Very disappointing considering the price and that the rest of the resort seemed nice. Really wish we could have stayed in the main resort. I had the option when I booked but thought the villa with the kitchen and the extra room would be nice. Huge mistake. Definitely stay at the main resort if you want to stay here.

The location and service at this hotel are great, but the pictures must have been taken awhile ago, and the rooms need updating. Our room smelled of mildew from the moment we got there. I know this happens close to the ocean but this is why maintenan
We've been following Betty for years! So I think that in itself says we're pretty impressed! Personally what is most valuable to me is that Betty will meet you where you're at. She believes in you and encourages you. When you feel like you can't
