We are Owners at Hyatt, and This resort is one of my favorite of the Hyatt selection. The Village is upscale and family friendly. Plenty of dining and shopping as well as fun like ice skating, skiing etc. It's also close to north lake tahoe, so you can't beat the location
Time share owners here and this is by far the worst stay we've had. Internet dies not work. Dirty laundry still in room. Pull out beds have no linens. Just sad. Worst stay g of all since we've been here.
Very crowded, entitled rude people. Ice skating rink was fun but not near enough seating. Palisades is better.
Northstar Village is very cute with many shops, movie theater, and several restaurants. During the off-season, it is quiet and peaceful. It is not far from Truckee and other attractions.
Super cute, dog-friendly shopping plaza at the base of Northstar California Resort. Architecture makes this place look like an alpine village or something you'd see at Disneyland or Downtown Disney.
It's not huge but has an ice rink, eateries, shops. Prepare to pay a bit of a premium on everything. Bathrooms weren't fully stocked in the morning esp feminine hygiene products 😔
Great stay and always fun activities to do for both kids and adults ❤️
Do NOT book here unless you know someone. Northstar resort show photos of buildings in their new village, but once you get there, they put you into old beaten condos. When I called, they simply said talk to Expedia, I called Expedia, they could not do anything, it is like I booked something in Russia, 0 service.
The condo we got had break in marks on the front door, the bed drawers can not close, carpet is dirty, the bedrooms and baths were low n cramped. Definitely won’t stay at anything northstar again.
This should be a 5 but lack of effort and amenities bring it way down. There were broken toilets, beds and more. The ice skating and sledding were never open and there is nothing to do in the Village anymore. It's just a walk through for people now unless you need something for the slopes. The only thing nice is you are close to the mountain but I'd rather take a bus ride and pay less.

Stayed overnight due to heavy snow, so happy with being marooned. The room is very comfortable, contemporary and tech ready...the staff helpful and able to make decisions to improve our stay.
But the biggest delight and surprise is Stella's, the o
We have stayed at Donner Lake Village many times.
Great place to rest and play. Donner lake is Great Lake to swim, ski and sail in the summer. In the winter skiing at Sugar Bowl, Soda Springs and Donner ski ranch are barely 10 minutes away.

Stayed here for one night while our house at Northstar was being renovated due to winter water damage. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical of Best Westernsâ¦adequate and satisfying. Since it was still off-season, there were no crow
The community of people who work here have been great. The room is clean, the breakfast bar is nicely maintained with an unexpected variety of choices. It could use a bit of a refresh, but so could I.
Really cute little tea shop in Truckee. They have herbal teas of all sorts. The owner Sally greeted us with a smile. She is fantastic. She has a lovely group of young ladies, working behind the counter who provided us with world-class service. I had
Skydive Truckee is top notch! It would be impossible to get this experience with any other team. From start to finished they made us feel like family. We had a group of 9 guys jumping. Weather conditions held out perfectly and we were all able to hav
We were in Truckee for a day and my wife came across this place. Breweries are usually a good family friendly stop for us and this was no exception. The people here were fantastic, the locals and the staff. The back room had been converted into a pla
Lives up to the hype! Finally checked out this place and was not disappointed. Arrived just before 12:30 to about ten people already in line and they had already run out of their chicken sandwich special but I wanted the falafel bowl anyway which was
Exceptional! We made reservations for my boyfriendâs birthday. We got the price fixe menu and the wine pairings. Every single dish was fantastic and we learned a ton about the wine we were tasting.
Wine pairing = 2.5-3 glasses of wine matched with
Bring layers and food/water and a flashlight, it's a very rewarding hike with lots of ground to cover and views to take in. Lots of graffiti too if you're into that, the insides and 'roofs' of the tunnels are prime real estate for elaborate pieces. I
This was the perfect place to stop for lunch and a drink. We got the burger and grilled cheese with tomato bisque plus a 50/50 beer and the fizzle dance (gin fizz). Everything was yummy (except the beer was okay)! There wasn't much seating so don't t
Amazing, separate pools for adults and kids! The kids pool is 3 pools in one: a river-float pool in an oval (3.5-ft deep), a children's play pool with engaging fountains, water features, and "safe landing slide" (2"-3' deep), and a single swim lane n
A family go to for over 50 yrs. Sadly it's hard to find any vacant rooms anymore. We try to go twice a year. Steve & Edie are the very best owners I've ever met. Many great times there & many more to come.
